and that’s the end of that. so. my thoughts.
so apparently, claudio and celia are in love, i just couldn’t tell because at the beginning she was yelling at him ( i still stand by my point that they have parental vibes )
there’s a lot of this guy yelling at that guy, that guy yelling at this guy in silla.
to quote my notes, “oh my goodness. why is silla’s god tiridate.”
the instrumentals in the last few scenes are nice. really strengthens the atmosphere.
i had to do a double take at “io non ti chiedo più” because it borderline sounds like “un zeffiro spirò.” alright, it doesn’t sound entirely like that, but at the very least, the melody is uncannily similar.
once again. the story goes by way too quickly. i feel like that easily gave way to some parts coming off as messy and some holes appearing in the plot.
too fast. consumed it too fast and it gave me operatic indigestion. i don’t think that’s a sentence that’s ever been said before.
i liked the bit in act 3 scene 6 where claudio pretends to be celia’s echo.
also i still feel like claudio is quite similar to bertarido.
