I had a dream last night that I went back in time, did things differently with my life and was able to talk to Alan and let him know how much he means to me.

I think somehow this was a sign given by Alan himself that his fans need somewhere to talk about him.

Whether that be to grieve and maybe gain some closure. To talk about how he's helped change their lives for the better, or even just a place to ask for short one shots about him to help you through a tough time.

I know for me, I'm still not over him. Hopefully together we can make new friends, new memories and keep his memory alive.

Metatron is a Terrible Fanfic Writer

You know that fanfic that you want to love but just can’t because your favorite character is OOC?

That’s Metatron in Metafiction. Let me be clear. This meta is on the character, not Robbie Thompson, the writer of the episode. I think he wrote the OOC quite deliberately.

So let’s start from the assumption that Metatron, the Scribe of God, might have seen Gabriel a time or two? Think that’s reasonable?

Okay, then how is this outfit okay?

That’s not his color pattern! This says suburban soccer dad, not Gabriel Archangel of the Lord. This is Gabriel.

See, he does the contrasting colors on his torso. (And a nice torso, it is too.) Plus, button-down, not t-shirt, and when he’s being all badass, he forgets to button that top button. (What do you mean, am I obsessed?)

Or this one. See, contrast on top, plus button-down. Sadly, not showing as much skin, but that’s understandable. He’s still traumatized. (Sorry, I can’t remember where I got this one from.)

But clothes are only part of it. What’s really bad is the hair. It bugged me the last time I watched this episode because WTF?

Look how neat and tidy his hair is. All well groomed, like Gabriel is never. I know, the real world explanation is because Rich was filming The Evil Gene and had to look all neat and FBIey.

Metatron, at least get the hair right!

I’d been putting off writing this for a while, but then @astralgabriel posted this gif, and I started laughing. (BTW, most of the gifs in this post are theirs, except where I indicated otherwise.)

See that little “ooh” he does. It’s totally aimed first at the chips. Uh, no, Metatron, Gabriel is not attracted to chips. The cookies behind the chips? Maybe. (BTW, I love that little oooh! Nice job, Rich.)

So clothing, hair and food choices. All wrong. Thanks, Metatron. All you managed with your little in-universe RPF fanfic was to get pretty much all the fine details wrong.
