I know I’ve been absent for a while but I’m back! It’s been a few... adventurous couple of months, to say the least. But I want to share with you my beloved project Song for Cantalagua and its first 25 pages https://www.cantalaguacomics.com/

It’s a webcomic about a town named Cantalagua where Nila lives in a guest house with her mom

She took on a summer job as a delivery girl but some stuff is obviously going to happen that may threaten her hometown and life as she knows it.

If you’re into adventure, soft sci fi, a loooooooot of nature and slice of life stories, this will be for you. Also, the protagonist and almost everyone is a poc since it’s majorly based on Mexican culture. There will also be lgbt characters and especially those on the ace spectrum! I’m really excited for this comic! Hope you’ll like it too <3

Boran it´s an exiled djinn from Persia who came to de underground city of Temixtitlan in México, searching for a living as a thieve, it´s very pround of her persian legacy and likes expensive jewerly and clothing, but when she meet the possum nahual Ramiro, she will change her vision of the world, now she want to become the thieve queen of Temixtitlan!!!.

The News™

I’m so sorry for not explaining anything last week(s)! Between what I’m about to tell you and, well, life, stuff has been pretty crazy. BUT.

As many of you know, I’m from Mexico and I’ve been working on a project with some friends since last June. There was this Cartoon Network Series Pitch Project here and we participated and although we didn’t win the pitch, we came up with an idea that we just couldn’t leave behind. So we decided to transform that into a webcomic!

So now, I present you: 

This will be the story of Nila, a girl who grew up in a town called Cantalagua and although it’s a beautiful place, it will take Nila some time –and some friends– to really notice what’s so extraordinary about her life.

It’s a Slice-of-Life story, with fantasy and sci-fi adventures and of course some cute preteen romance <3 Also, it’s queer and almost every character is a person of color.

We’re SUPER excited about this and we’re working non-stop because this story means a lot to us – it means a lot to me. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this and will continue doing it until it’s finished.
