Size: Legal Quarto. 194 pages, 29,853 words.

Another legal quarto.  Full cloth this time, which I haven’t done in a while.  I was experimenting with different measurements for the hinge gap this time, which meant that my foredge square was a little bigger than it needed to be.  Cover design made in Canva and added with gold Dollar Tree HTV - it’s cheap, doesn’t come in many colors, but honestly is the easiest I’ve worked with.

First time playing with speckled edges.  I just used some of my fountain pen ink samples and it worked really well.

This typeset had a little more going on with it than my usual ones.  The title font is Grenze with Time To Get A Watch for various clockwork ornaments and dividers.  Bookman Old Style for the body font, and was a little larger than it needed to be.  This is what happens when you don’t do a test print!  This is nearly the same size as my previous bind despite having a significantly smaller word count.

Just finished my ~annual reread of @mhalachai ‘s Inevitable (Harry Potter crossover with Anita Blake). Y’all, this story is just so good. I can’t even stand later-series AB books anymore, but this story captures some of what I used to enjoy in that series.

🪐 -  name three good things going on in your life right now

oof this one is unfortunately not easy - 2026 has NOT been my year even remotely - but I’ll try

1. My husband and my parents are super supportive of me even during rough times this year

2. My writer’s block has lifted just enough to put out a new fic for the first time in more than a year (not enough to finish my wips but 🤷‍♀️ I’ll take what I can get)

3. There’s a drought in my area and this morning is the first real rain we’ve had in months so I’m enjoying that at the moment

🏜️ -  what's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

I LOVE comments that actually reference the chapter in some way. I love both long and short comments, but anything actually referring to something that had happened in the chapter makes me ridiculously giddy. I’m always happy to receive any comments, but I will always selfishly prefer those to spammed emojis or hearts (though I love those too!)

I think I’ve only gotten a handful of comments like these in my life, but the ones I absolutely adore the most are the ones that give a play-by-play like a reaction channel, they’re SO amazing and I want to give every single one of those a lil kiss on the forehead

oh gosh. I have so many favorite ships/pairings. Um. fuck it. Lets do a few.

Lets start with winterwidow. I do ascribe to the belief that even in MCU, Natasha has lived a lot longer than she says (and by turns that's either because she doesn't know/remember either, or she's just lying), and that she and Bucky did know each other way back when.

For Hollanov, I fully believe that in a universe where Shane could get pregnant he would get an abortion (shanebortion) and just go on playing instead.

For Leverage Ot3 I think that sometimes Parker just makes shit up to see how long the other two will go along with it before one of them folds/calls her on it. Sometimes these are cons she's making up, or things she claims they've done, or just things she's claimed she's done. Either way, it's enrichment in her enclosure.

Hmm yeah three is good.

🦷 ⇢ share some personal wisdom or a life hack you swear on

If you have breasts of any size, get properly fitted for a bra by a professional. Don't guess, don't go to some Victoria's Secret hack, find out what size and fit you *actually* need. This is not mutually exclusive with, like, getting a breast reduction if that's also something you need! But good lord, your body (especially your back/shoulders) will thank you regardless.

Also: if you menstruate, consider menstrual cups! Environmentally friendly, cost effective, as easy to get in/out and wear as a tampon, SO much nicer for travel, I could go on (and have).

I would also add on more of the personal wisdom side: you don't get to decide someone else's intentions, but they don't get to decide your reaction. Hopefully there's room for repair in the middle.
