Welp, after a longwhile. They're finally here!
Lot of complications I went through while designing these guys due the fact they were meant to be character exclusive to my gikabi AU: popopo verse. So, to make things less confusing to myself, I kirbified them! Or.. popopofied them? Whatever, puffball universe weeee..
The misfit pirates will replace the squeak squad in popopo verse! Instead of a group of theives getting back at dedede by stealing his treasures, it's local sky pirates raiding dreamtown in a flashy style and steal everyone's treasure, including crowned ddd and his castle staff! Now, it's up to popopo, fumumodoki, nana and gluante (pink blob) to chase them, and get everyone's treasures.
"Oh, so at the last part, the crew would accidentally summon nebula, which proceeds to possess maya, right?"
NOPE. Dark nebula doesn't exist in popopo verse. So, it's going to be replaced by an original dark matter design! When I digitelize it's reference, I'll make a rant post about it!
For now, here's biographies for what I got for the crew!
THE PIRATE OF WONDER: CAPTAIN MAYA
Comes from a lineage of Pirates! Her great great x20 grandparents made legends that continuously burn in popstar's history! However, the pirates’s orgin reached a hault with her great great great grandparents' life routes. The result? Daughter of some human family in Grape Garden.
An excellent singer. Maya utilizes this talent to make a flashy entrance for her and the crew whenever they're arriving to their next raiding spot.
 GorGor Rod and Dazzle Sword are the same weapon switching one other. How she obtained such a powerful item is a mystery.
 Diplays over-the-top demenor. Will also do the ojou sama when she knocks out her rivals/enemies.
possesses fighting and survival skills! Swords Art and bomb crafting being some of them.
The hat she wears is a remodel of one of her great great x17 grandmother's. She later abandons it in favor of an original hat befitting to her imagery.
 Has one-sided rivalry with the squeak squad, Daroach is really good at playing with her nerves and wants to get him for it one day.
Smokes a special type of cigarette, which is conveniently safe for her lungs to indulge.
Got possessed by a strong dark matter, which, while it didn't damage her body, it definitely left a... not-so-nice looking bloody scar on her back. (A freaky tatoo of the eye)

 Maya's right hand companion and the first member of her pirate group.
THE MAN WITH THE MASTER PLAN: MERLIN
An only-child to a wealthy family in Mekkai. His narcissism and obnoxious self-confidence came from his parent’ spoilin and acting like a yes-men to him all the time. (He loves his parents)
Infatuated with Maya. He loves anything everything good and bad about this woman, and is ready to do the impossible to grant her dreams!
Has gorgeous eyes, but hides them behind swirly glasses. Whither he's self-aware or oblivious of their “effect” towards the captain is unknown.
The pilot of the Misfit Pirate's Ship, as well as the mechanic! He built
Before becoming part of the Misfit pirates, Merlin had a dream of becoming a mechanic in the well-known Galactic extraordinary tech Company; Haltman Co! all changed the day he met Maya..
Never smoked in his life until Maya introduced him to it. The two developed a habit of taking a smoke break together, And just like Maya, his lungs don't take any damage!
Germophobe. Will never shake/hold anyone’s bare hands without his gloves on, Even Maya’s.
The glasses and red cravat were gifted to him by maya. He values them alot.

THE SHADOW OF THE CREW : MOMO
The third member of the pirates. She joined 6 month prior to the pirate team's establishment!
Very sarcastic. Finds enjoyment in teasing and pulling the nerves of Maya and Merlin. Mian? She has a different attitude towards her.. Much softer.
Greedy. Never shares her share of treasures with ANY of the band's members. Nobody dares taking her treasures, not even Maya!
The most inactive member of the group. If maya gets into a physical altercation with someone, momo would step aside and play old maid with someone. UNLESS treasures were involved, or the band was badmouthed.
One of her dreams is to defeat Yamikage; the guy responsible for taking her mother's life, and leaving her and trio of siblings orphaned for a very long time.
Loves mind games and gambling. She likes testing other people's luck by playing old maid with them.
As a ninja, Momo possesses a sharp katana, a bunch of stars and.. a BAZOOKA???
High alcohol tolerance.
