Michael mentioned that he saw Gorimon when he was younger. Then, on a contrived coincidental timing, Gorimon (controlled by the Dark Spiral) shows up outside the restaurant! Michael has Betamon evolve to Seadramon in order to take on Gorimon. Maybe that's because it's too personal for Michael since Gorimon appeared in New York and it was his childhood monster.

once the final chapter of "So Come and Dance with Me" is out, I'll have published a 64,000 word fanfic about Daisuke and Michael Barton. I'm still floored by this. That I could have a muse for someone with almost no screen time and even less personality and character development. I adored giving life to Michael tbh, and I hope I can find a muse for another rarely written character someday.
