It is my belief that people in powerful positions should be psychologically evaluated before they are appointed.  If they are found to be psychopaths, sociopaths or to have severe personality disorders, this must be addressed and if appropriate- that person should not be appointed.  It seems fairly obvious that Priti Patel scores highly for psychopathy.

To those that would argue,

“Well if we did that- you’d have to fire most of the cabinet”

I’d say,

“Exactly.”

Psychopathy is in the minority in the population.  Psychopathy is over-represented in positions of power and that has and continues to have catastrophic consequences.
