The tuohys are lying their asses off. I don't understand how they even got the conservatorship put in place. What they did was illegal. Whoever signed off on it needs to be investigated.

Some scenes that didn't happen in real life:
1) Michael didn't have his own bed when he was in foster care.
In The Blind Side, a scene shows Oher tell Leigh Anne Tuohy he has never had a bed for himself before, but the Hale brothers pushed back, saying “that video is depicting something that didn’t occur.” They claimed a requirement of the foster system is that each child “have their own space.”
2) Michael was in high school and couldn't read or write.
“I’m embarrassed for him as a friend — it’s not accurate and it’s hurtful,” he said, referring to a scene portraying the NFL star as unable to read and write in high school.

The reality is that the public was lied to about this story. Michael is a great inspiration all by himself. He was determined to overcome his obstacles and he would have been successful even if he never met the Tuohys. He always wanted to play football. The Tuohys didn't teach him the game and was not illiterate. That whole narrative of this White family saving a neglected and illiterate Black boy was all a lie.
