Michael/Jon sad flowershop au I wanna write one day.
Michael passes by Jon's shop on his way to the institute everyday
Jon's a disgraced academic
Gardening was Georgie's idea
The shop wasn't actually a great business move because now Jon doesn't have time to garden.
Michael always tempted to go in but doesn't have anyone to buy flowers for.
Jon noticing this and desperate for business manages to pull him in one day.
Michael starts going to work early so he can dally at the flower shop. He brings Jon tea.
They're not quite dating. Just early morning chats really.
Michael tells Jon he's going away for a little while. Jon gives him a bouquet of lilies.
Michael doesn't come back for a very long time. Jon doesn't know what to think. He knows Michael worked for the institute so tries to find information. Elias stops him from going to the Archives. He informs him Michael is dead. He offers Jon a job saying he remembers reading some of his papers (scooping info out of his head.) Jon refuses it.
Jon can't let go though. He continues to watch the institute.
One day a tall man with blond hair comes into his shop. It isn't Michael. It doesn't even seem quite human. It buys lillies.
The Distortion keeps visiting. It's fond of him.
Jon accepts its company.
Jon keeps seeing doors where there shouldn't be. He doesn't go in them.
The Distortion tells Jon its and Michael's story. Jon puts his hand on the doorknob, considering.
