Michael J. Pollard (1939 - 2019) decided to become an actor after seeing Marlon Brando in 1954's ON THE WATERFRONT. He enrolled in the Actors Studio in New York studying alongside Lee Strasberg and even working a scene with Marilyn Monore, at her request. His unique look and slow, eccentric line delivery made him stand out from the pack but he never really found any notoriety until his big break in 1967. Since the late 50s, Michael worked relatively unnoticed on a number of tv shows and movies until Warren Beatty cast him in the groundbreaking BONNIE AND CLYDE as C.W. Moss, the dimwitted gas station attendant, earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. From there he became a highly sought after character actor finding roles in LITTLE FAUSS AND BIG HALSY with Robert Redford, ROXANNE with Steve Martin, DICK TRACY with Warren Beatty, TANGO & CASH with Stallone and Kurt Russell, SCROOGED with Bill Murray, and Rob Zombie's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES. #RestInPictures #RIP #MichaelJPollard https://www.instagram.com/p/B5S8R17FZL4/?igshid=1y1k3lbwbky0d
