when you just wanna write hawkserasermic (nicknamed sleepyparrots by my partner)
“He’s back again,” Yamada said in a low sing-song as he stood by the window. It was unusual for him to be quiet, but neither teacher had been wanting to draw attention to the oddity that was Hawks. Pushing himself up, Aizawa meandered to the window himself, looking out into the open courtyard where the red winged hero was already entertaining several students, his own intern a little less stoic than usual as he enjoyed the presence of his mentor. “He likes being around the kids,” Aizawa said offhandedly, but he knew that wasn’t completely true. Hawks definitely did seem to be drawn to the school– and often. He seemed to like being around the students, which led Aizawa to wonder where his own cohorts were and why he didn’t attend to people his own age more. And finally… Hawks seemed to drop in specifically wherever Aizawa himself was. “He likes being around you, Sho,” Yamada teased with a grin as Hawks’ golden eyes found them in the window, waving up enthusiastically. “It’s cute.”
Hawks has a crush on his intern's sensei. Aizawa can't figure out how to ask Yamada for more. And Yamada is interested in bedding a bird.
Sometimes things have to become more complicated before people can realize what they really want.
