As the forests across the western United States burn, we take pause. As treehouse builders, we are particularly attuned to the trees, forests, and the life it sustains. We recognize fire as a necessary part of the cycle. It still sucks to watch forests you love burn. These fires are burning hotter and longer due to a myriad of things: climate change, suppression of traditional fire, and overgrowth in the understory just to name a few.  We stand with the forests. That’s why we’ve decided to focus all our energy on our Artistree Host Program. We partner with landowners who want to protect, restore, and share their forests. We bring our treehouses to your site, create a passive income stream for the landowner, and help pay for ecological restoration work in that forest.

Description: Three square meters of an authentic Swedish pine forest manipulated by the animal Naturalis Brutalis is exhibited as part of the exhibition Plots, Prints and Projections.  The  Naturalis  Brutalis  (currently  with  no  common  name  in English  nor  Swedish)  is  a  creature  increasingly  found  in  the  forests  of Sweden. On  rare  occasions the animal shows  an  artistic interest.  Please  do not  feed  the  animal  and be  aware  of  its  seductive  nature.

After two years of living in a camper with his young daughter, architect Jan Körbes wanted something better suited to their active lifestyle, so he decided to realize a longtime dream of turning a grain silo into a microhome. With the help of his team at REFUNC, specialists in creative recycling, they bought an old grain bin from a farmer and set to work making it habitable.
