"13, 13 years old and like I said with an IQ of 302. I want to become an attorney to stop the dark age of the law, but I don't have any experience being one so please defend My friend Lilly Everbloom, I'll hire you when I graduate from law school next month if you take the case." As she said before facing forward.
His eyes widened in shock hearing that. She looked older than 13. This wasn't good, he figured he'd be pushing it with 16, but 13?!
"Well," he started, turning around and hurriedly pulling a binder from a low shelf, "I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't think things are going to happen the way you'll expect them to. At this time, you have to be 18 years old to take the bar exam in this country. And to run a law firm, you'll still need to go to business school and deal with licensing and all that. Unless you're promoted, or it's willed or inherited to you or something like that." Apollo rambled, finally finding the other binder he was looking for. He pulled that one in a rush too, causing a few other binders to fall onto the floor and scare his cat. He'd pick those up later.
The man opened up the first binder, and muttered whatever words he read aloud to himself.
"...may also provide legal services in this jurisdiction on a temporary basis! That's our loophole. We start a temporary law firm of our own, and I'll be able to stand in court with her. But a business, even a temporary one, needs employees..." Apollo closed the first binder, then opened the second to the index. He searched along the line with his finger, before finding and flipping to the section he wanted.
"Says nothing about not being able to work in law if you're under the age of 16." He looked back up at her. "Here's the thing. If we write up a quick contract and start a temporary business together, I can stand trial legally, regardless of whether or not we get an official license. It'll take a few days to process, but even if it's denied, it won't effect the verdict, and even if the trial goes for three days, we'll still be good to go!"
