Philomena grew up into the most angelic little toddler, always staying close to her older sister that she adores.
Leon, a man of few words, can not express to Theano how wonderful he thinks she is. How much he adores her for bringing him this gift of a family. He tries to show her how he feels instead, caressing her cheek and kissing her daily. Looking deep into her eyes, trying to convey what he cannot put into words. And Theano gets it. The love radiating from her husband is blinding and she is astonished that such love can exist.
Every year in, the center of Italy, there is a little town that goes back for ten days to the 13th century. During these ten days the town is divided in four neighborhoods. They will dress, eat, speak and build things just as it was. They are in big competition between each other and the last challenge is bow and arrow.
I only had one day for the shoot, it has been fun and I really felt I went back in time, till tourists arrived........

Leon and Theano were rejoicing the arrival of the new baby, not only because the child was finally with them, but also because they could soon become intimate again. They were just as much in love as ever, if not more so now. Leon adored his wife more than he could say and had longed to be close to her again.
Life at the farm soon returned to a steady pace. Everyone kept doting on cute little Theodora, who had shown signs of a little jealousy now that her parents couldn’t give her their full attention anymore. Luckily she had her uncle and grandparents to shower her with love.
And Quoro had found a man that seemed to share his preferences. The times of the pool gardens, where men could freely show their love for each other, were over and people had started viewing the love between men as something unholy. That didn’t mean that they had stopped feeling this love however. So now, he had to be a bit more secretive about it.
Getting into The Middle Ages, this is what my darlings look like.
From top to bottom, first to last:

I’m rambling for a bit below so I’m putting it under cut in case you’re not very interested haha.
They look quite “plain” right now, but I plan to upgrade their outfits should they rise in the social hierarchy (meaning: if they earn enough gold). Also, you may wonder why Quoro is a blacksmith all of a sudden, but it makes sense, I swear. Remember that he’s worked as a manual laborer since he was a teen, and he’s been doing quite a lot of woodwork off screen. This also allows him to have his own house on the lot, with his workshop downstairs and sparse living quarters upstairs. Can’t wait for you to see my build for this era, I’m really quite pleased with it.
The last name has now become Lake (as you may have seen earlier in the tags). From “of the Lakes” to “Ton Limnón” (which was the Greek google translation of the earlier) and now simplified to just Lake. Hope that makes sense.
Also... I feel so weird changing Theano’s eyebrows. She was so cute with her unibrow that now I think she looks quite unfriendly hahaha. But I wanted her to go along with “the fashionable brow” and during the middle ages they were quite thin (if not shaved completely).
Alrighty. Can’t wait to see what they get up to this era. Now I’m as clueless as you! And post will be more scarce again as I need to play before I can post anything.
The family has rebuilt their home to fit the new era and are very pleased with all the space and activities that they are now able to do (even though they may sting at times).

this post basically has no point other than showing off a bit of the new, middle ages, build
If you want youthful skin grab you some African soap. I use to spend money on pricey anti-aging products. When you’re quarantined and you’re looking for budget friendly products, then this one is for you. If not, DIY products is the way to go.. just my opinion. #skincaretips #48looksgreatonme #midage #loveyourself #nubiansoap #africanblacksoap #melanatedskin #blackgirlmagic #blackdontcrack #blackonblackonblack #blacklove #blackandsingle #musicandme https://www.instagram.com/p/B-5JdBHJE3g/?igshid=19qnpywnx4wev
The last couple of years have definitely seen some positive changes when it comes to seeing older women represented in beauty and fashion. Designers such as Dries Van Noten, Rachel Comey, YSL, Celine etc have all featured mature models in catwalk shows and also advertising. Yippee! Recently I am seeing more high street brands get on board too with stores such as Zara, Mango and M&S featuring women that I can actually relate to a bit more. But there still needs to be more change. Much more. Women in the mid-age section of 30-50 need to be seen more, but also more diversity when it comes to size and disability too. But, we are getting there slowly and as long as it's going in the right direction, then that's a start! Swipe left for 8 incredible women over the age of 60 killing it right now. I love seeing these women shine. The more we see wrinkles, grey hair, age spots and whatever else getting older flings at us, the better.
