I just need to get this out of my head. Hear me out, okay?

Wesker and Zeno.

We pick up Zeno from the moment he's lost his powers and become an ordinary human. And Wesker says something like, "Aw, the boy wanted to get stronger?" or something like that.

I simply can't describe the powerful potential I see in this. It's like a copy trying to match the original's greatness, and that same original deciding to have fun with the weaker one.

So I’m thinking of developing a relationship between Steve and Ishmael, aka noble hero aka this guy:

95% sure his name is a reference to something?

Anyway I’m thinking I’ll have them bond over the fact that they’re the only ppl who see to actually be scared of the quest they were on.

So basically after house good guys fall, Ishmael has nothing left and whatever wealth he saved up from selling his noble clothing, jewelry, and ALMOST his sword (all at much too cheap prices since he doesn’t actually know how much everything is worth—he didn’t know how anything less than 3 digits worth of gold was supposed to be valued at) he ended up broke and homeless, occasionally getting gigs reading and writing for food and clothing, and sometimes offering “security” services since he was still pretty good at fighting. However, eventually he had to resort to pick pocketing people for money.

[I do plan to dive deeper into the trauma and exploitation a homeless kid would go through living in the slums, but obviously I’d have to do research for that so it’s a 50/50 cuz on one hand it’s good angst, on the other I do not want to put effort into this crack isekai comic]

Anyways—

One day, Ismael realized he had to steal again for food so when he noticed a new group of adventurers running through town he decided to single out the one who was least likely to notice or, if he does, be able to kill in retaliation.

So of course he picked Steve, even though he had a big ass axe on him, he wasn’t very confrontational and his body language showed, making him the perfect target.

Ishmael does the classic “bump into him and walk off” routine and succeeds until antihero catches him.

Shenanigans ensue, Ishmael joins the party.

I’m thinking eventually they tackle his arch where I’ll be merging house bad guys with alpha males and make all of them vampires with baron bad guy being a sexy vampire (sorry to anyone who was a fan of old evil dadbod baron).

Shit happens and it’s an arch for basically everyone

Mary Sue—indoctrinated into hbg weird vampire sex cult bc the whole odd domestic abuser thing romance novels have for some reaso

Steve—failed to protect Mary Sue from being manipulated but maybe it’s not too late

Akai or whatever his name was— Baron offers him an actual harem in exchange for his loyalty

Ismael—trying to avenge his house and honor, only to accidentally bond with Steve about (almost)losing their only family to hbg and how they seem to be the only ones to see how scary the work actually is

Hero— so you know how Baron, despite being an evil advisor to the emperor and literally took out another house yet is still a BARON, one of the LOWEST LEVELS OF NOBILITY? I’m thinking this is because there’s some convoluted curse or contract keeping them so low and it can only be broken by

Marrying this one princess/duchess/ idk Ishmael’s younger sister???

Idk but they decided to lock her up in a tower until she comes of age.

The tower however, used to belong to an ancient wizard so powerful no one was able to reach his level even in the centuries after he’s passed, and if you’ve seen that one post about it, Yk what the noble lady was doing all this time.

Hero does the hero thing and goes to try and rescue her from the tower but upon discovering she’s actually been able to get out this entire time and is actually powerful af, he asks her for help during their quest instead. The princess, of course, agreed since she was waiting to kick vampire ass and her tower was running out of books.

Eventually they grow closer and become the ultimate power couple

I might have to rewatch JP’s videos to scan for any hints as to what I should name her or I might make something up on my own

Midnight Idea #13

…actually a 3:35am idea I’m grateful I woke up enough to write down… this is copied almost verbatim from my Notes app:

I want an ongoing modern Hakuouki AU where

Kazama and Sen are exes turned fuckbuddies bc they can’t stand each other personally but the sex is incredible

They started going out bc Sen saw him eyeing Chizuru and a.) Chizuru wasn’t interested and b.) Sen thought he was hot so she turned on the charm and basically seduced him [and might have intended it to be a one-night stand but Kazama misinterpreted and she just rolled with it]

They broke up bc they had different ideas about what they wanted from the relationship and Kazama was inexperienced in romance—and probs sex too before Sen got to him tbh—and acted like an entitled jealous asshole, plus Sen wasn’t communicating effectively

Now that they’ve broken up Kazama is hitting on Chizuru again (totally not trying to make Sen jealous) and since Chizuru is too nice/intimidated to turn him down, Sen is doing her best to matchmake her with head-over-heels Heisuke [or really any other guy, I’m not picky, but Heisuke is best for obvious reasons] (totally not just trying to thwart Kazama’s plans)

The overarching trope is of course “exes find maybe-not-true-love-but-close-enough and then get back together”

…but despite all these specific headcanons I don’t want to write it myself so I hope to goodness that’s inspiring enough for someone else to work with

Midnight Idea #8

…well, It’s Midnight Somewhere… I just got up so my mental state is about the same. Original idea courtesy of @tealdeertamer​, and probably @actualsuperherochatnoir​ wants to see this too.

Basic Concept

Game of Thrones x Hakuōki. Definitely a crackfic. Probably a fever-dream tbh. Disclaimer: I have never read the books and I really don’t like the show so I have pretty much no idea what I’m talking about, which is also why I’m not tagging it as such.

Slightly Less Basic Concept

House Serizawa is in possession of the Katana Throne and is kind of a dick, until a lot of other Houses band together to assassinate him because fuck that guy. His inexplicably loyal servant Ryunosuke escapes and probably becomes plot-relevant later. Probably Kondou does in fact get elevated in his stead since he was like, the Hand or something, so getting him to the throne might not be the main point of the plot… but there’ll probably be some serious pushback since he may be a better ruler but he doesn’t technically have any claim to the crown? Idk.

House Kazama, which already rules some other continent and is definitely still not human even in this AU, is like “wow, these humans have no idea how to govern themselves, it’d be better if we seized control” and Amagiri, who is part of House Amagiri but is still subservient to Kazama because an ancient alliance fucked him over, is like “hey why don’t you find yourself a wife so you can produce heirs but really though it’s mostly because declaring war on an entire continent is a bad idea no matter how powerful we are and you need to not do that” and Kazama’s like “good idea” and that sparks his attempt to find a worthy wife.

(Also House Shiranui’s motto should literally be “Whatever” because the founder of the house, when asked what the words should be, just said that because he didn’t really care about founding an official family line despite his status.)

…Yeah, that’s all I got at the moment. Feel free to suggest things, though. Goodness knows this wasn’t really my idea to begin with, eheh.
