midnight scrolling

So here in the state of Yeehaw Texas, it is currently midnight. My sleep schedule has been pretty fucked lately, and I haven't been able to go to sleep until 3 in the morning- and today is no exception. So, as I wander off in my own thoughts, I begin to think about ways to make money because I want to be able to feed myself and pay for my education (obviously). And as I think my mind went right in to craigslist, and I haven't heard people talking about them in a while, so my own naive self begins to ask what's the harm in going into a website notoriously known for being shady and not the most trustworthy.... As I go diving down into the site known as Craigslist, I realized that theirs this tab that says "Talent Gigs" and as an aspiring actress my interest is even more peaked, and I ended up clicking on it.... YAll, let me tell you that things are gonna get W-E-I-R-D. The jobs that they are offering are 100% real. For example-

Matchmakers for millionaires 

Models with a wild side needed for a paid shoot

People that have drama with Family members or Friends

TV CASTING looking for people dating inmates

Random people looking for a strong-minded woman to just hang out. (picture required)

Wanted: Beautiful, savvy, independent woman(picture required)

Assistant required- live in preferred

Seeking college type female for gigs

Looking for girls who wanna get paid to go to the movies

etc.etc.etc

And I know some of them might sound normal but the descriptions are freaking crazy and what they ask of you to do! Look I know some of yall might say fuck it I’ll do it but if it was for me I would advise you not to unless you’ve done hard research, it can be very dangerous ... So as the saying goes "curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back" so, in the name of experiments I'm going to try one of them and see if its a scam

Me: ok, here's your food. You can eat it. No one's going to disturb you

Sensei: *looks at the food and walks away*

Me: ok, whatever

**5 minutes later**

Sensei: *meows* translation: I want food!

Me: There's food in your dish! Go eat it

Sensei: *a series of angry meows* translation: I don't want that. I want dry food. Give it to me, human!

Me: No! You have food.

Sensei: *proceeds to dump everything on my table*

Me: ok fine! You can have dry food.

WHEN I MET HIM

Everything started to fall apart when my sister brought it up her new boyfriend to meet “the family”. His name is Diego Santiago. He looks like he fucked half of the city, but mom really lied him.

“He looks like a prince!”, she said, amazed looking at him from the kitchen. “He’s perfect for our princess!”

I rolled my eyes, bored with all the bullshit. Grandma nudged me, laughing when i groan loud. Everyone - my mom, her boyfriend, Brat, and my sister - were at the dinner table, waiting for the “meeting dinner” begins.

“I wanna go to my room. I don’t want to participate to this stupid dinner.”, i said to grams while she was walking to it.

She turned around and said:

“It’s just one night.”, she smiled, extending her hand to mine.

I took and went to the fucking dinner, sitting right beside her all along. Ans, to be honest, it wasn’t that bad. Until the boy start conversation with the dark side of the family: me.

“So, Quinn,”, he started, making everyone look at me. My mom and sister had a scared funny looking at their faces. “why don’t you attend our school?”

I smiled a little. “Because it’s not really my type.”, i answered, turning my attention back to my plate. I listen a low laugh and already know what’s the next question.

“What is your type, then?”, he smiled a little, with a provocative look. I raised my eyebrow, analyzing the situation to see if it wasn’t a prank. Katherine and mom were scare to death of my answer, and that was really funny.

But i wasn’t in a funny mood.

“Just regular stuff, you know, teachers and not rich-stupid kids.”, i shrugged, not brave enough to look at my related ones.

“It’s time for dessert!”, my mom practically yelled, desperate to change the subject. The boy looked a little scared to her, but she just ran to the kitchen to take the apple pie she made earlier.

The rest of the dinner was just crap talk for the royalty, and nerd stuff for me and grams. But everything has an end, right, folks?

“Well, it’s getting late, and my mom is already calling me, so i’m gonna head off.”, Diego said to my mom after a long talk about him staying a little bit more.

“It’s ok, mom”, Kat said, getting up with him. “I’ll take you to the door.”, she whispered.

“It was a pleasure to meet you all.”, he looked at all of us, but stopped at me for a while, then smiled a little and followed Kat to the door.

Weird guy.

“If he breaks up with her, it’s on you.”, my mom said when she was clearing the table. I rolled my eyes and went to my room. On my way to it, i listened to Kat and Diego’s whispers:

“My sister is a little fucked up. It’s normal around here.”, she had a “sorry” tone. “I mean, she doesn’t talk much with us, but we try to make contact.”

Bullshit.

“It’s ok.”, he guaranteed. “I kinda liked her. You’re twins, right?”

“Yeah. Everyone says she’s the bad one. I agree.”

“Well, thank God i got the good one, then. I could’t deal with a bitch.”, they laugh a little.

Yeah, i’m a pretty big bitch.

“Oh, it’s so hard to live with her. I wish we could run away.”, Kat groaned a little loud. “Please, don’t break up with me because of my family.”

“Don’t worry, babe. I can stand your family just for you.”, he said and kissed her.

That was my cue. I went straight to my room and lay on the bed, ready to sleep. But i couldn’t. I had to smoke a cigarrete.

So that’s what i wend to do.
