this saturday is mid-summer day and since that’s an important day in the septimus heap series i thought i would organize a week-long celebration. day one (mid-summer day) is kind of a wild card that you can interpret however you want.

you don’t have to participate in every day (or at all) but i thought it would be a fun thing for us to do as a fandom. i’ll be tagging everything i post as “midsummer week” on this blog to keep track of everything

Mid-Summer Week Day Four: Traditions

I think it counts as a tradition for Jenna to watch the moat and the boats on the water every night. I also made the sketch for this in 2016 and couldn’t get it to work then for a variety of reasons. It was nice to finally dust it off and finish it ‘cause I’ve wanted to draw this scene for about a decade now (since I read Magyk for the first time)

Septimus Heap Midsummer Week day 4: Favorite headcanon

I can’t really pick a favorite headcanon because there’s too many good ones on here but I love the idea of Simon and Sam meeting by chance at the palace and spending the day chatting and catching up with the mess their life’s have been and just being we’re-getting old-bros in general (aka I just want to see them interact)
