I lived in a creepy old house when the kiddos were younger— I remember having a lot of strange experiences in the five years we called it home. The one that sticks out most in my mind is the morning I came home from work after a midnight shift. I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed but Autumn needed to get up for school. I remember waking my then husband up so that I could sleep. I was only in bed for a moment when I felt him lay back down next to me and breathe in my ear. I rolled over, ready to ask why he wasn’t getting her up for school and there was no one there. Ugh. I still get chills thinking about it. She is extremely sharp and intelligent, often depicted as a crow on the battlefield, helping the living and dead alike. To sum it up— she is one badass bitch! . . I’m about halfway through this beautiful arc, Sisters of Sword & Song by @beccajross — I absolutely love her lyrical writing style! The Queen’s Rising duology was one of my favorites last year, and I couldn’t be more excited to see where this new story goes. Be sure to add this one to your tbr— it comes out in June! . .
