Rushed Argent + Divan design. Argent 100% takes bath salts. I resisted the urge to give Divan a big beard. Big strong Russian man. Rasputin.
Literally made Divan in the middle of my bio class, he looks so ass

In honor of your lyrical skill, here is the most Midwestern photo of myself that I could find.
I do not remember the goat’s name, but I do remember that I really really wanted to take it home and so did my Dad.
June is Pride Month!
While early LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations, protests, and marches were held in Milwaukee, WI as early as 1971, Milwaukee’s first Pride parade happened on June 17th, 1989. This article comes from a 1989 issue of The Advocate, a prominent LGBTQ magazine that began in Los Angeles, CA in 1967 and continues to represent an important public voice for the LGBTQ+ community today. The excerpt and photographs shown above highlight the preparation that went into Milwaukee’s first Pride parade and the importance it held for members of Milwaukee’s LGBTQ+ community.

12 Bands of Christmas, Day 11: Like Moths To Flames
It’s nearing the end of our 12 days, and I’m sad. There are so many more than 12 bands I could recommend, but I had to narrow it down.
The next band on the list is Like Moths To Flames. Perhaps Like Moths To Flames is to some people like Miss May I is to me. A band they know is good and know is good live, but they never bothered to look them up. I assure you, this band is worth looking up. Their content tends to be really negative, but it’s really strong stuff.
Like Moths To Flames is a metalcore band from Columbus, Ohio. I’ve begun to notice that I’m more drawn to bands that came out of the Midwest area that I’m from. Maybe it makes me feel more connected to them. I discovered them at a time when I had a lot of pent up anger. I’d just lost half of my friend group over some petty bullshit that had nothing to do directly with me. I was hurt and angry. I looked them up because I’d heard that they were an angry, angsty band. I dove right in to help me cope.
Here’s a few reasons why they’re worth looking up.
They’re heavy. Their music makes you want to kick someone’s teeth in. If you’re angry or just in a passionate sort of mood, they’re great to listen to.
For those that live in the Midwest with me, they’re an awesome local band.
Their lyrics are intense and forgive me for not using a better word, but savage. Listen to a few of the songs I recommend and you’ll see what I mean.
They keep getting better and better with each album. Though they’ve gone a little bit softer on Dark Divine, the lyrics are a lot stronger than the lyrics of some of the older albums.
Chris Roetter’s vocals sound different than a standard unclean vocalist. He has a unique rasp to the way he sings. Then his cleans are just as strong. You get to hear a lot more of his cleans in the two most recent albums, and they’re wonderful.
Songs to listen to:
You Won’t Be Missed, Never Repent, No King, Dark Divine
A little taste of the lyrics:
“Haunted by a ghost of my own, I tried to talk to God and he just gave me a rope. Heavens so far, hell feels close, all that's left for me is just to let this go,” (Dark Divine).
“There will be no song of grace to lead you in. No holy water that will rid you of your sins. There will be no light to pull you from the dark side. Left to decay inside your own lies,” (Never Repent).
Go check them out. They fucking rule.
I’d really like to get a Queer Anarchist group together in Chicago and do something for next pride. I didn’t see one gender queer flag this year and it bummed me out. (I forgot mine obviously) I DID see lots of bi, intersex and trans flags this year and even one ace and some demi ones. So that was cool! But I think since the parade is headed and guarded by the CPD and other politicians and political groups are there, the anarchists should be as well.
We could march in rainbow bloc instead of black bloc and carry bats and flags. You can’t pretend that wouldn’t be fucking fun as hell.
Paczki Day!
What a great day to live in the midwest ;)
people who say shit like "people from the Midwest all think x" don't know SHIT about the Midwest, the Midwest is fucking huge and diverse and the really sad thing is a lot of the ones I've met have been trained by US coastie privilege to assume that their part of the country is inferior.
as a former coastie, coasties who think flyover states are one big cow town can FIGHT ME
