✨August 15th, 2018✨: sunrise and sunset

Posting this a little late, but my last full day at the cottage last week was unbelievably beautiful and turned out completely different from the rainy day that was predicted 🌿⛅️

Can’t wait to make it back to this heaven and its nimbus clouds and lake reflections 🌲🦄

🌅 August 27th, 2018 🌅

It was suuuuuper hot and humid and windy yesterday, which made for some crazy sunset clouds! Like I’ve never seen before — the straight-line cloud streaks made it look like searchlights in the sky, and half the sky was a warm yellow color while the other side was a cool blue. Was not expecting anything like that when I decided to go for a walk, and I was so delighted with what I witnessed 😍😍

I wound up walking a 3.5 mile loop which felt twice as far thanks to the humidity, but luckily I found a dog-day cicada walking on the ground (it hadn’t hatched yet) so I scooped him up and let him walk on my arms for the last mile before putting him on the largest tree I could find. It made the last leg of the journey not so oppressively hot 😬🙏🏼
