You know your from the Midwest when you’ve played in a corn pool

For those of you who don’t understand, let me help:

You are seven years old and in Nebraska . Your mama comes in your room and says “we’re going to the pumpkin patch!” You scream from the excitement. You dress in your winter clothes even though it’s late September because it’s cold for some reason. After a four hour drive, you arrive at an autumn themed festival in the middle of nowhere. Your little brother runs to play in the pumpkin shaped bouncy house and your big sister goes to the corn maze. Your parents go to pick out a pumpkin to bring home, but you see a small wooden building towards the back. You run to it giggling as you jump inside, landing in a two feet deep pool filled with corn. You play in the corn for hours until your mommy says it’s time to leave.

That’s what it’s like living in the Midwest.
