This hearing had gone on for well over 3 hours. If he could still sleep, he was sure he would have been some time ago. Seriously, how long could one Munckin talk about one cow? Whom he'd believed been stolen from another Munckin for her supposed prized milk.

The cow herself, Ms lullabell, had barely spoken during this whole ordeal. The Munckin had claimed their families had worked together for years, and she was being manipulated into making a deal with this other Munckin.

Yet it was very clear to Fiyero, that dear Ms. Lullabell simply was in a secret courtship with the bull from the other Munchkins farm.

This is what had become of his life.

He shifted in his seat, the all too familiar sounds of straw crunching following his every movement. His glass eyes roaming over the courtroom, before finally landing on the women beside him.

"So, what shall we do once this finally ends?" He whispered to her, having shifted himself ever so slightly to the side, placing his chin on the palm of his hand that gave him an almost thoughtful look, but in reality was hiding him speaking, "Surely he can't rant on forever. Though I admit, he seems to want to go for the Ozian record."

A small snicker, only loud enough for Kelsey to hear. Glass eyes quickly moving to her, before moving back to the Munckin. It mattered little though, for the Munckin was barely paying attention to anyone but himself. And the other representatives were mostly gossiping amongst themselves by now.

@miind-full hit the Heart for Sweethearts Day!

Before Shiz, Sweethearts Day hadn't really meant anything to Elphaba. When she was really young, she remembered her Baba decorating the house and putting together a beautiful tea party for her (and Nessa once she was big enough) before making dinner for her father. But the year she lost Baba, it was different and different it stayed. Her father settled further into his unkind and inequitable ways, where Nessa would receive a full box of chocolates and Elphaba would receive throat lozenges .

It was nice to have friends to care about and enjoy the day with, even if she had no official 'sweetheart' yet. And so in the days leading up to it, she had collected a few different candies and trinkets for friends. One of which, was a small sketchbook for Kelsey. Elphie figured she would like the practicality of the book more than chocolates or flowers- she always seemed to be running out of pages in hers.

Still a little stunted socially, she came up to Kelsey into the library with the wrapped parcel. "Kelsey, hi. Um. Happy Sweethearts Day. I brought you this."

Elphaba took a deep breath as she laid on her bed. She was utterly exhausted and mentally drained after today. Her lessons with Madame Morrible had run long and every bit of magical energy was drained from her. Galinda had run out for a while, supposedly studying with Fiyero but whether she was studying her books or his face, that was to be determined.

Kelsey had come by, having a question for her biological sciences class which Elphaba had been more than happy to answer. Whenever she was having issues with writing, Kelsey was there for her. It only made sense. But her own exhaustion was showing even in just the few minutes of her friend's arrival.

"You didn't have to do this you know," she said quietly, feeling the warmth of hers and Galinda's blankets wrapped around her. "I'm just tired, not sick." She was still getting used to the notion of tender love and care from friends of hers. Kelsey was not only caring for her, but teach her grace.

"Thank you."
