D-16 - Sunflower/Warmth

Mikana, Vanitas and Ventus chilling in a sunflower field on a hot summer day.

I just love drawing the proximity of those three (even if this isn't very virus friendly 😳), I think they are pretty close.

Mikana seems pretty tall in this drawing but this is not (totally) an anatomy error. Mikana is pretty tall, as tall as Lea, where Van and Ven are pretty small for boys :')

so! this is the final pic of my fantroll!

I’ve probably still got some work to do as far as refining her character, but this is what i have so far:

Mikana Laukan

She’s a violetblood who grew up watching an Alternian animated show called Pretty Heiress: Sailor Alternia, in which a young lowblooded female, lamenting on her woeful life, is one day approached by a talking meowbeast, who informs the young troll that she is in fact, actually a magical troll girl! And the heiress!! And she must learn to protect the general troll populace, and one day rule the planet, all while defeating a different shitty monster every week, with the help of her fellow magical troll girls, and trusted friends, the Highblood Scouts!

Anyway- Mikana grew up watching this show, and greatly admired the brave heroine, and her bold mission of protecting the innocent. So much so, that Mikana tries to emulate her in her day-to-day life, picking up litter, treating wounded fauna, helping young trolls across the street, and resolving conflicts among her friends by monologuing about the true power of friendship.

She especially loves re-enacting scenes from the show (and creating her own scenarios) while FLARPing with her friends!

Her strife specibi was originally an “axekind,” but somewhere along the way, she decided that wasn’t very fitting for a magical troll girl (ahem, not cute enough), so she fashioned a very cutesy wand-looking stick, that she likes to beat people with (because she doesn’t have any real magic…). She still uses her trusty old axe in truly dangerous situations, though.

That’s all that I have for her that’s really set in stone. I’m still not sure what her lusus would be, I’m thinking somewhere along the lines of a hammerhead shark, or something, to go along with her old, not cute, axe-wielding persona, but idk man. 

I’m also thinking of making other fantrolls to be her friends. I’m not really thinking of making an entire fan-series necessarily, maybe just some funny/cute comic scenes and some character tidbits!
