En determinadas ocasiones las historias valen mas por como son narradas que las propias historias en sí. Este documental narra la vida de Marilyn Monroe tomando como hilo conductor las miles de fotos inéditas tomadas por el fotógrafo Milton Green, las cuales fueron descubiertas en un archivo en Polonia hace ya 15 años. La maravillosa voz de la narradora, los entrevistas con voz en off de la protagonista y la proximidad a la persona y no a la estrella de cine hacen de este documental algo inusual para una historia contada millones de veces. Un documental con un final casi tan vacío y desconcertante como el de la propia protagonista.
On certain cases, the histories have more value by the narrated way than themselves. This documentary tells the bio of Marilyn Monroe though hundred of lost photographs taken by Milton Green which was found in a private achieve in Poland 15 years ago. The beautiful voice of the narrator, the voice of Marilyn interviews and the proximity to the human being instead of the Hollywood star, make of this documentary an unusual piece, being aware that this story has been told a million times. The end of the documentary is almost as sad and disturbing as the protagonist herself. It is worth mentioning that I discovered Letters to a young poet by Rilke thanks to this documentary. Just for this reason, it deserves to be part of memo.
