Check Yourself
– DAILY ZEN
One of our major tasks in life is to keep our checking mind in check. The checking mind is our tendency to compare ourselves to others. It is our habit of worrying about what might be wrong with us. It is our nagging concern that we are not good enough. It is how we justify our existence in our internal dialogue. When our checking mind goes unchecked, it can drive us crazy.
RIP Rick Rypien
Today he would have been 32. I will always consider him my hero and I will forever be grateful for everything you have unknowingly done for me. Your passion, energy, and heart has always inspired me and your fight has helped me through my own struggles. Thank you.
“Keep your gloves on, kid. You don’t have to fight anymore.”
If you're ever feeling down, don't feel good enough, or are struggling through anything. I need you to promise me one thing. I'll honestly tell you, for personal experience, that the friend you always tell all your problems to, they have their limits too. So, when they don't seem to help or if that friend just needs a break: visit this website. Promise me that you'll check this website out.
So I've posted this before, but I feel the need to post it again.
This is Mindcheck.ca, a website created by Kevin Bieksa and the Vancouver Canucks organization.
It's a website with information on mental disorders, such a symptoms, stories, and what to do if you need help. They also have contacts for places to get help. I know it's helped me a lot
It's such an amazing website, and you should check it out, because whether you are suffering from a mental disorder, know someone who is, think you may be, or just want to be educated, you can get what you need.
