New update released for my Avian Knights Minecraft map! I've added a new level "Crystal Bat Attack!", and fixed some issues in other levels as well. Download is below at my Planet Minecraft page!
This is an early release of my Minecraft Adventure Map, Avian Knights ! Only a few levels are finished so far, but when I have time I will u
Minecraft madness.
New locations added in the 1.16 update to Kalopsia.
Oops I haven't streamed in forever. First a friend was in town for the first time so I was hanging with him, then a local con was coming up and all my free time was spent on cosplay, and THEN I was starting a new job. Whoops!
Either way though, this hiatus will be ending TONIGHT at around 8:30pm EST. A few of my friends and I will be exploring a horror adventure map called Black Light, which is apparently pretty well known since both Skydoesminecraft and Smosh played it back in their heyday. But I've never played it myself! Come join us over at twitch.tv/CalaMarimo . But viewer beware, you may be in for a scare...
Here it is-- my first ever true Minecraft Adventure Mode Map !!!
Since I'm a rookie, there's bound to be mistakes, even beta-tested; constructive feedback is appreciated, but criticism might make me sad.
How to play:
Download and unzip the folder
Go into the folder, there will be a second folder with the same name. This is the one you want to use!
Press Windows Key + R at the same time
Paste appdata%.\.minecraft and then hit "ok", (or the enter key) not "browse"
Find and open the saves folder
Paste the second folder into your saves
It may be titled "New World". My bad! I was too excited to remember to name it...
Open Minecraft in Snapshot 24w40a and have fun/get spooked!
Thanks for playing! Please please let me know what you think!

MINECRAFT BEDROCK EDITION- THE MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE MAP REVIEW!
Since this was a free adventure map on the Minecraft Marketplace, and the pretty artwork caught my eye, I wanted to give it a try!
It's based on a book I haven't gotten to read yet, but wouldn't mind doing so sometime! This is a short but very cozy adventure map. You start off as a lone explorer, off on a journey to locate a mountain you were told about by a book. You go through some dangerous monster encounters and arctic conditions, but you eventually arrive safely at the lovely mountain!
Once you are inside the cozy mountain base, you find books from what appear to be the previous owners, asking you to be its new caretaker! What follows are a series of nice little quests that include farming, exploring the nether, finding an old igloo outside, and more!
Once you complete the main story, you get a bonus epilogue quest, too! You'll be challenged to find 6 special items to unlock a special room - most of which were pretty easy to get, but it did take some time to find myself an Enderpearl as I didn't see any Endermen spawn for quite some time! I won't spoil what is inside the special room, but it is a nice prize and pretty little room, too!
While it is short, I enjoyed this little map quite a bit. The Mountain base is so pretty and fun to explore, some of the story books are very sweet, and I enjoyed how you get to access survival mode during the epilogue, giving you more freedom to customize the base to your own liking! The map also features custom music, cut scenes, and a cute and silly sounding voice for the player character, which are all nice touches. Another cool feature is that the map has a magic pop-up compass that will point you in the direction of your next objective! Lastly, If you are playing on PC, you are allowed to export and keep your own copy of the map too, so I am glad it is DRM free despite being a marketplace item!
My only minor complaint would be that it's one of those maps where you are meant to be playing as yourself, but at one the player dialogue states "good thing I'm not a vegetarian"…which, well, I am. :P It is always an annoyance to me when in a Minecraft map the writer for the player makes rude assumptions such as this. Thankfully, they do do a good job of referring to the player in a gender neutral manner, which is appreciated.
That one complaint aside, I quite enjoyed this little map and recommend giving it a go! Now, I'm thinking of the several Minecraft books I DO own and should really sit down to read sometime… Below is a link to the page where you can download the map for yourself in-game!
Check out Minecraft: The Mountain, a community creation available in the Minecraft marketplace.

Pretty happy with how this is coming along. Let me know what you think!
