Breaking the silence: Computer problems, Discord, and future updates

It’s been a long while. I wanted to take a moment to explain the silence, and update you on the state of Kalopsia.
Back in April I was working tirelessly on pushing the next update for the month of April out. As we approached the end of the month however, my computer decided to die on me. As I only had one computer powerful enough to do any of my creative work on, including Kalopsia, I was kind of stuck. I had a decision to make. Do I buy a readily available computer, or do I upgrade to a much more powerful custom computer? I knew that with the state of the world right now, going with the latter would mean waiting a very long time.
After some debate I made the decision to go with the longer wait time. If I was going to upgrade to a new computer, I might as well make it my dream machine. So that’s what I did. Unfortunately I am still waiting, but thankfully the light at the end of the tunnel is near.
I want to apologize. I did not want to keep you all in the dark on the state of the map, but life and my own anxieties got the better of me, and days turned into a whole month.
So what about the map? Well it will take me a few days to get up and running once I have my computer, so I don’t want to promise any timelines right now. That said, there are some big changes coming, mostly with how I keep you updated.
I have had a few people ask me to create an active Discord, and after some deliberation, I have decided to do just that. Very soon I will announce a new Discord server for Kalopsia. I will post frequent updates to the map, as well as exclusive early versions on this server. At the same time I am going to completely overhaul the Tumblr page. The plan is to make it more like a website for the map. I will still post updates there as well. My vision is for the Tumblr page to be for official updates, and the Discord will be for conversations.
Regarding the map itself, once I have my computer, I will jump right in and work on getting the next update out. I’d still like to shoot for a major release each month, but we’ll see.
That’s all I have right now. Again, I’m sorry for the silence. I have a bad habit of going quiet when I’m stressed or anxious. It’s definitely something I try to work on each day. I appreciate all of your continued support. Talk to you again very soon!
