im really dumb, but i finally caved and installed fabric + shaders literal days before minecraft announced that they're going to start working on built-in shaders. do you have a seed for my disappointment?

Resulting seed: Taiga and Snowy Taiga spawn with typical Windswept Hills/Forest shenanigans. Floating landmasses, right next to a Frozen Ocean with Ice Spikes in the distance. Plains, Forest, and some Swamp to the South, and a Grove and some Meadows to the North. Plenty of Villages, Ruined Portals, and Shipwrecks.
For what it's worth, I wouldn't call the Fabric shaders a waste yet. Mojang's built-in options will probably be limited, and Fabric gives you so many different options already. If you aren't using one yet, a modloader makes it trivial to install whatever you want (I create these gifs using the Replay mod installed via CurseForge!)
