Into the Deep dark
Creeper Custom Nether Portal! A very simple portal made with several types of stone, but mainly cobble, normal stone and andesite. Hope this serves as inspiration! Any thoughts? 👀
✨ Shaders: Bsl Shaders 🕹 Game version: 1.18.1 🌹 Resource Packs: Jerm's Better Leaves
Tutorial here! (includes other 2 portal ideas)
I'm not blindly defending mojang here, I don't like the way they're handling the "wild" update either, but you guys know the whole thing with frogs with eating fireflies is because they don't want some kid feeding their pet frog a toxic insect, right? you guys don't actually think they scrapped 'em because they're somehow so incompetent that they couldn't code a few glowy particles, right??
so uh
minecraft mushroom enthusiasts how we feelin 2nite
Warden doodles :^) I like this funny creature. Reblog to give them a big kiss.
1.19 review from someone who hasn’t played survival since 1.16
Basically in one sentence: I am so glad I waited the 2 years for them to finally finish the cave update.
When they first announced that they were going to be delaying/splitting up the cave update, I knew that I wouldn’t want to play an unfinished update. So I waited. I didn’t want to start a new world and then have the next update have huge generation/gameplay changes
I updated my personal server from 1.16 modded to 1.19 vanilla w/ plugins and oh my god it was so much fucking fun. The lush caves and mangrove swamps felt so magical, and mining was way more fun for me. And I loved seeing all the cool generated terrain!! Hearing the new soundtrack for the first time while I was exploring these new biomes was also amazing.
I think most people are not going to have the magical experience I did with 1.19, but man was it worth it to wait. Had so much fun I had to post about it :]
The only thing I’d change is make the mangrove swamps have the teal fog and a firefly particle effect to really capture the look of the concept art
I personally love The Warden because I, too, am overwhelmed by the urge to commit inconceivable acts of horrific violence whenever something is making Too Much Goddamn Noise
WAIT MINECRAFT LORE RELATED TO THE DEEP DARK. So it's pretty understood that minecraft is set in some sort of after-apocalypse that caused humanity (or whatever society came before) to die out. This is represented by zombies and remnants of a society that does not exist anymore in desert temples, jungle temples, and the end portal in the stronghold.
And also, the deep dark contains cities that also appear to have this same theming, if a tad bit darker. What if these cities were home to a cult of some sort, and said cult was responsible for whatever wiped out that old culture of the world. It has the same emptiness as temples and strongholds do, and the ancientness. But it also seems to have been built by someone different. Could whoever built the deep dark have caused whatever apocalypse took place in the far past of minecraft lore?
