The Goths appeared in Barnacle Bay several generations ago, relocating from Sugar Maple Coast and starting out with a clean slate after an unfortunate passing in the family. Timaeus' ancestors spent every last simoleon from their family treasure into rebuilding their regal mansion and passing it down to newer generations.
They established themselves well into the community, through careers and politics. Tragic struck, however, when Thaddeus' parents passed away in an unfortunate boating accident, making him the newest heir to the family fortune. Will current patriarch Timaeus trust his grandson enough to make the right decisions, or will Thaddeus need a little grooming in the right direction?

The Goth Clan are native to Windenburg, Europe. Informally known as the Old Country. Timaeus Goth was the oldest known Goth and the first of his family who sailed to SimNation. Here, he founded Sugar Maple Coast along with a few other settlers. Back then, the Goth Clan held noble titles- as seen with Lord Goth and Lady Ravendancer Goth.
Timaeus chose to abandon his titles in SimNation for reasons unknown. Probably because it wouldn't work in a new world. Timaeus became a founding father but spent most of his time on sea as the captain of the Hawthorne. A famous ship that is mentioned throughout Sim history.
In Sugar Maple Coast, Timaeus met Angela Gilman. The daughter of another settler who he fell in love with and married. Much to James Gilman's chagrin, Angela's father, who dissaproved of their marriage due to the age gap. In later years, Angela and Timaeus had a child, Edward. Unfortunately, Angela passed away at a young age from being struck by lightning. Timaeus followed years later, from old age.
Since the Goths didn't have a good relationship with the other founding families, and, following his parents' death, Edward and his wife moved away. By boat, the Goth Clan arrived in Barnacle Bay, an island west of SimNation. Using the treasures from his parents, Edward and his wife rebuilt their regal mansion on the cliffside of the island. Here, they continued their dynasty, and hundreds of years later, with Thaddeus as the current heir.
An old man, yet filled with character. He is the patriarch of the family and takes his role very serious. Timaeus is a former politician and governor of Barnacle Bay, having retired at a suitable age to focus on his family. He is grumpy, as every other Goth, appreciating the finer things in life as well as holding a grudge to the Goldbeards.
Minerva Goth (neé Burton)
A little younger than her husband, Timaeus. She met her husband in Barnacle Bay and have been sweethearts ever since high school. She is a supportive woman and likes to spend her hours in the library or in the kitchen. She is a retired chef and was once a famous chef on the island. She owned a restaurant of her own, but when age dawned upon her it was time to take things slowly.
The grandson of Timaeus and Minerva. Thaddeus experienced death at a young age, following his parents' demise in a boating accident. His childhood was rough, but he experienced the love of his grandparents first hand. As the newest heir of the family fortune, it is his job to continue the family name and establish himself in the community. He dreams of becoming a doctor, but Timaeus rather sees him occupied with politics or business...
