I love my little herb window garden 🥰

I replanted some dill and it's growing like a house on fire. I also planted some chamomile and cumin.

I bought another grow light to make sure all of the plants are getting proper light. I'm using ONF MIST O lights. A lot of ppl seem to hate them because of the magnet stickers. But I found that by putting the magnet on top of my IKEA mini greenhouse and letting the magnet attach through the acrylic, they works pretty well. The best part of using the ONF is that they're portable. I used a power pack to turn the grow lights on and off. This way I don't need an electrical socket and can place my greenhouse on the sill of my east facing window without having cords all over the place. 🌿😊

Lauri built a surprise for her mother- a 2 story greenhouse out of old windows. It’s so cute!

The wooden frame rests freely on the pillars. Here the windows are still waiting to be installed.

Jute rope makes it easy to adjust & support the vines climbing to the platform.

The height gives the tomatoes space to grow upwards. The greenhouse recycling theme is repeated in flower pot holders made from old wood stove rings.

Between the second floor of the greenhouse and an L-shaped bridge, a  tower extending to the ceiling is made of cross-ribbed wood bars. Pots hanging from the tower and roof can be conveniently watered from the bridge.

Sloping steps firmly attached to the frame lead to the second floor. From there you can take a bridge to the other side of the room.

In the small group of seats on the second floor, you can enjoy morning coffee.

Isn’t this the sweetest thing?  Behind the structure is a gutter with downspouts for collecting water.

Last night we spent a few hours reorganizing and cleaning my work space.

I definitely like it better! The light now flows in such a different way, but my plants are getting the same amount. My background on Zoom is not a dark cave anymore, but a brighter one showing off my IKEA cabinet full with plants. 😎

In front, I made sure to have some beautiful paintings from my home country, Guatemala 🇬🇹.

Plants in your office space really enhance your mood and vibes. Changing them of position sometimes can boost those vibes too. 🌈

Tomorrow is sowing seeds day, where we all sit to fill them trays !

Made some growing lights with plastic gutters I had laying around, hvac aluminum tape🤪...got a 8 pack of LED lights few months ago on Amazon ... few other things from around the house and let it be 💡 light!😆

Might use Mylar sheets to wrap around the grow light mini greenhouse

I made a miniature greenhouse with a working light!!

Seed starting! 

Last year I did not start any seeds and barely gardened because my wrists hurt so badly. I had 2 cortisone shots in my left hand a week ago and I feel so much better!

The best purchase I ever made was my mini heated greenhouse way back in the 1990′s. It’s so old the plastic cover has yellowed and has been taped together. bottom heat still works and that’s the main part that has to work.

Off to the races!

It’s only been 2 days and I can see some seeds emerging already, perennial Phlox and Mammoth Sunflowers.
