Moving on to the more advanced henchwomen of the amazon warband, we have our scouts! Rules allow three but I could only think of two, an archer and spearwoman. Maybe I could make a javelin-tosser should I expand the warband.

For now, these two shall hide in the shadows of the cursed city, waiting to ambush anyone who dares walk the ruined streets.

Inquisitor Bronze-Face for Inquisitor, the 54mm roleplaying wargame.

Fun little experiment, never worked at that scale so decided to try and kitbash this guy from random bits I had, a toy metal ww2 soldier, wraithblade bits and goblin arm, stormcast head and lots of plasticard and greenstuff work.

So tomorrow is my birthday 🎂 and I went ahead and bought myself these monstrosities.

I have been waiting for their release as well as the extra income go and get them.

Have lots planned for them.

Firstbrhung is gathering all the brood scum heads and making a sprue for them. Once that's done going to make a silicone mold so I can cate them as I need them for building genestealer gangs and army.

Will repeat same process for the heads and some of the limbs of the actual genestealer.

Big aim done the road I'd to make conversion using those bits on making g the hybrids and hybrid abominations.

I apologize for the quality of photos. I will post better ones in the future as well as progress on all the work.

P.S. I happy to have a smart phone again that let's me use apps like tumlr and the like.

So my swag from the BattleTech Mercenaries kickstarter finally came. Ended up doing some mild conversion work on a Shadow Hawk IIC mini using a spare dorsal gun from a Marauder.

I think it looks good with a proper arm cannon, reminiscent of the 80s artwork for the original non-clan Shadow Hawk (and the Dougram mech design that FASA licensed in the first place)

Ork-Genestealer Hybrids, because you can do whatever you want with your models and there are no limits to your imagination -- Lower ranking grunts were block painted and black lined and on the game table with no time wasted on subtle blending and shading  (White Dwarf 135, March 1991)

Chaos cultists and chosen.

I feel like this project’s taken me, like, all year. Definitely my biggest conversion job yet... I think.

The cultists are a simple mash-up of Necromunda guys. The Chosen (Except for their champion) are Raptor/Warp Talon bodies with standard CSM backpacks, tabards are Spellcrow. Wanted them to have a kinda acrobatic thing to ‘em. Their heads I got from Liber Daemonica. Sculpted some flayed skin for the champ for flavor, then painted them up with Juan Hidalgo’s contrast method.

As I was working on these, GW came up with sculpts for Chosen and cultists anyway, but, you know, it’s fine. It’s cool.

Kinda want to paint something simpler next.
