I mean, of course Kin'emon and Kanjuro show up just as Duke Dogstorm meet face to face for the first time in who knows how long. Of course. Just some great timing all around here, guys.
Surprise Strawhat Minkship!
I really enjoy simple shots like this where even though the characters are more background scenery than anything else, everyone in the crew is doing something that reflects their personalities.
Luffy is basically "favorite seating" this moment. He's in the front where I'm sure he thinks the captain should be even though he's going to be letting his crew do most the "captain-y" type stuff because if he's honest he isn't really sure what's going on. But that's fine. That's why he's got his crew!
Nami has grabbed Momonosuke (as oppose to, you know, full on tackling a samurai) because Nami is the one who tends to be best with kids. She's also positioned almost in reverse of Luffy. Where as he is at their level, looking in the eyes, she's standing behind them. She's also the one who actually knows what the fuck is going on.
No surprise: Franky, Usopp and Chopper have thrown themselves into this moment 110% like they do. If Franky looks more anger it's because he's upset that these guys would potentially upset the minks. Also, how did the crown on Chopper's hat not fall off in all of this?
Robin and Brook are both waiting in the background, the way both characters tend to. There is a good chance they are worried about the minks, the Samurai and their crew all at once.
Zoro is only here because Luffy made him come. He doesn't know what's going on. He doesn't care.
