This planet has epic toadstools.
mirror spirk doodle. inspired by @blanc-ci ‘s post and @junkdrawertales reblog. <3
For @mirrorjtkirk <3
Quick, clumsy graphite pencil sketches of two beautiful individuals. The Kirk ones took approximately 2-5 minutes each. Supplies used: as pictured on the third picture.
All references used from different TOS episodes; to whom the rights belong.
Just dropped another spicy piece on AO3! ;)
After a shitty shift, the captain of the ISS Enterprise blows off steam on his first officer. Spock lets him believe that the golden sash tying his hands can actually hold Vulcan strength.
Link to the uncopped version.
(to mirror Kirk in the prime universe)
Captain, this is Spock reporting. It is fortunate that this time we have this form of communication at our disposal. Your counterpart is with me, for safety and surveillance. We are working on a way to return both of you to your respective universes. We will have to wait until similar conditions of the ion storm are repeated. Are you in immediate danger?
@realmirrorspock.
Kirk takes the call in his ready room, alone.
"Spock!" He can't help but be surprised at the familiar face. Of course, he knew that Spock could have contacted him all along, but seeing him still sends a flicker of something through his nervous system.
"Danger? No, no, of course not. They haven't figured me out quite yet. I think." Then Spock's other words catch up to him, and its as though a tremor goes through him.
"No. I'm not going back. I'm staying here. You can keep him, do whatever you want with him. Do not bring me back, that's an order."
He often wondered why Spock didn't leave that universe when given the chance. He wondered even more why Spock didn't kill him. Perhaps he was only waiting for the perfect time to strike, a coiled snake in shadow. Kirk had deduced that Spock was perhaps working with the rebellion, but even that didn't make sense. It was logical that any and all rebellions would be crushed. A small group of people could never face against the might of the Empire. The only way to survive in their universe was to close their hearts and minds, keep your eyes forward, but always look over your shoulder.
In this universe, maybe he could be free. He could never trust his crew, but perhaps he could sleep longer than a couple hours at a time.
