If as they say we learn from our mistakes, you'd think by now most of us would be brilliant...sigh!  Yet what if God, possibly while smiling even, uses our many less than perfect thoughts and deeds to give us each a gift far more precious and meaningful...compassion.  I think I could learn to love A God Like That.

How am i gonna be an Optimist about this?

I've always been a firm believer of positive thinking, that your attitude always determines the outcome and that there's always a bright side. Basically i'm a glass half full type of gal, an optimist if you must. What happens though when there isn't any water left in the glass and the bright side is so hidden that it appears to be non-existent, what then? 

I've recently had an experience like that and the inner pessimist we all undoubtedly possess fought harder than a warlord to take over my already semi-negative thoughts. if you're reading this then you'll figure out that this is probably the pessimist in me talking. Truth is, (or well my objective truth) if you let it, positivity will only just blindfold you. The trick is to not let it then. don't replace hard work with optimism, add the two. That's the only way you'll get anywhere in life. positively work hard to achieve your goal. That would be my advice to me a month ago. 

I guess everything does happen for a reason then, even if the reason is just a simple life lesson. We constantly underestimate the value of learning from your mistakes, but in the 18 years of my existence, my mistakes have taught me way more than any teacher i've ever had, my parents included.
