I watched Another today and I had heard the ending wasn't great and honestly I sorta have to agree in some aspects-
(spoilers for the ending mainly)
It wasn't the whole everyone turning against each other thing-- I actually liked that in the sense that it helped tie into the original class 3 imo! It started with one student saying misaki was still there, and the rest of the class followed suit. With this one, it was one student saying misaki was dead, and the rest following suit, sorta a mass hysteria event.
I found the managers murdering odd, though, since like. Makes sense they could be involved in it since their grandkid was in class 3, but he died a few months prior, so it no longer made sense because of that.
My main one though was the reveal of misaki knowing it was reiko beforehand and her being like "what good would it have done?" Like. It would've done a lot of good actually! It would have made sense for her not to try anything for the first while, but after her and the others listened to the tape, she would have known that Reiko's death would have stopped the calamity.
I understand her not wanting to tell sakakibara, but I found it odd that she didn't try to kill her or something of the sort until the very end. She was willing to kill her, she showed that at the end, so it wasn't from her not wanting to kill anyone it was just??? Her not thinking? But that doesn't make sense she's smart 💀
I was also confused on by Chibaki came back with the kid who was having an asthma attack??? Why would he have known to come back? It's not like someone could've called him, there was no service, they couldn't even get ahold of 119 why would be able to get ahold of the teacher-
Also the fact that misaki and Sakakibara talked as if it was finally over, but it wasn't really a resolution to the story. They repeated what happened 15 years ago by killing one already dead, but they spoke as if they stopped the calamity as a whole if that makes sense? The calamity would repeat the next year, they just didn't have to deal with it lmao
I dunno if this is coherent at all tbh-
Overall it was a really cool anime, but it was a bit sad that it wasn't tied up by the ending as nice as it could be, if that makes any sense?
Anyways Chibaki is a dilf since he adopted the kids change my mind /j
