Even when I was six years old watching Beauty and the Beast on VHS I knew he had a crush on Gaston. Why is anyone surprised that Disney is making it official? I’m happy that they’re confirming it for once instead of dancing around it, but really, I’m wondering if any of these bigots calling for boycotts of the new film (Graham, that Alabama drive-in, etc) have ever SEEN the original?! How can they justify loving the old and hating the new -- when LeFou is just as gay?

I want to see it. I’m sad that my theater isn’t letting me get my employee passes to see it free until April 3rd, though. :(
