I already said I'd like to start putting more stuff here, and since Miske received a rewrite back in October of 2025, I figured that now would be a great time to give you all a brief rundown of the story, characters, and my plans for it!
Just to warn you guys, TDAOS is intense. It features a lot of heavy topics, like murder of family members and mental health crisis. If you're not in the headspace to hear about anything like that, please don't continue!

-So what is The Dissolution of a Star?
The Dissolution of a Star is my Sonicpasta! It mainly features a character named Miske, who I initially created back on March 17th, 2022. The story was originally called Man's Best Friend, but the name has been changed to fit the theming and plot more.
The story has been made for the Visual Novel format, meaning that it has multiple endings. Currently, the story has 4 different endings, but please note that the game itself is not out yet.
In case you're wondering, it's not your typical EXE-like story. The plot of TDAOS revolves much more around characters and a larger theme rather than Sonic The Hedgehog horror like you might be used to. Although Sonic is a big part of the story, I wouldn't jump into TDAOS expecting that to be its entirety!
-What's The Dissolution of a Star about?
The Dissolution of a Star is about a boy named Trevor "Miske" Aceton who, due to a heart condition, dies while playing a copy of Sonic.exe that was created and given to him by his supposed "best friends"- Lawson and Jacob Harolds.
Trevor is unable to move on from the tragic pointlessness of his death. He's angry about the childhood he missed out on and the life he could've had, leading him to get stuck in limbo, tethered to his computer. He takes on the form of Sonic the Hedgehog, since the game was the last thing open on the computer.
As Miske explores the reality of being undead, he can go down multiple different paths, which result in different endings. In some, he remains somewhat of the person he once was, albeit, with major changes. In others, his actions are so heinous that even Miske himself accepts that he must no longer be human in any way.
-Who are the characters in The Dissolution of a Star?
Most importantly, we have The Acetons:

Then there are the other important characters, some of which are exclusive to specific endings:

The Aceton family members are the most important ones you need to know, though. In fact, Laura Aceton is just as much of a main character as Miske is (in her own way, at least)!

You're in luck! Miske does have a wiki page that is maintained by yours truly! However, the lore there hasn't been added in full yet as I've been working to organize and upkeep the page's gallery recently. But I will be sure to make a post about it when it's done!

If I'm being completely transparent, I'm not sure. I am currently the only developer working on it, and certain things for the story aren't even completely worked out yet. I'm also trying to sort out my own life as a young adult, which is a hell of its own, so honestly, the visual novel may not release for a couple of years unless I can find help.
