Rubyyy Recap: Our Familyyy Fierce Fun!
Hello Darlings!
Rubyyy Jones Here! Looking forward to bringing you my weekly #FamilyyyFierce update; a fabulous recap of our week's shenanigans! The Familyyy Fierce a London-based queer performance collective, we gig around London and sometimes fly off and spread the glitter love around the world. Each week I'll bring you some of our news, goings-on and some sneak peek photos. We've had some busy days bitches and here are some of our highlights...
MONDAY
The outrageous Bourgeoisie @OnlyBourgeoisie partied and performed late at Cirque le Soir as a gorgeous bathing beauty, posing and dancing in a bath tub; possibly full of gin and glitter, knowing her it was probably tulle and tequila! No pictures darlings cause #ifyoudontknowdontworry
TUESDAY
It was an evening of debut's with Ruby Wednesday joining myself and cinematic legend Renee Glynn onstage at Bar Wotever at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern. I co-hosted the evening with Maria Kinsella and presented a micro version of 'Rubyyy Jones Learns...' with themes of change, depression and transparency. Ruby brought two electric, hot lip-sync performances and made a powerful debut, while I danced twice, in various states of undress! The birth of #RubiiJonesday...! It was so lovely to perform with Wotever World, it is a show I am so happy to be a part of and to support, it's a very unique space and event www.woteverworld.com And that night my beautiful Familyyy came out in force, in 'boy drag' and it was so wonderful to have Meth, Joe, Bougie, Cairo and Maxi support us both and this special event.
WEDNESDAY
Hoooray! The Return of my Babyyy! The Save Rubyyy Jones Revue launched at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern and the whole Familyyy and extended Familyyy was there! I was so so so happy and grateful! We have been working like crazy, giving so much onstage and to each other for weeks, and for this amazing group of people to then give me and the audience everything to #SaveRubyyyJones I'm moved and I'm reveling in it. The show was stellarrr and you check out some amazing shots from Paul Singer here www.streetpixshop.com Definitely NSFW and #YoureWelcome It was a busy one for Ruby Wednesday as she dashed off to host Trannyshack, it's so exciting to have most of the Familyyy compereing!
THURSDAY
Miss Cairo is a little movie star now and has been very busy with meeting for the new short film #RoxanneTheMovie co-starring with Mzz Kimberley no less! Just amazing and today she had a very important production and casting meeting. #StayTuned...! Now we in the Familyyy always encourage you to party with personal pride and care but we encourage you, twice a month, to do Meth,,, mrmistressvsmeth's The Meth Lab gets you fucked up on drag and decadence, this week bringing over the smoldering Roxy C. Moorecox for good ole US of A! It was a Familyyy affair Miss Cairo and Crystal Lubrikunt of House Of Grand Parade supporting in style! Lolo Brow was off freaking out gorgeous clientele at a private gig, what this girl does with her body has to be seen to be believed!
FRIDAY
Tickets are released todayyy for Tammie Brown & Milk's show at The Meth Lab www.themethlab.co.uk at noon! GET ON IT! It's going to be amazing... Today is a busy one for #TheFF! Meth and Bourgeoisie are filming master interviews with The Drag Queens of London, a new docu-tv series debuting on London Live on April 22nd 10pm on London Live! Freeview 8, Sky 117, Virgin 159 and YouView 8. The lovely Lolo will be performing at one of our favourite events Lucha Britannia at Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green; if you like drama of all kinds, it's a perfect blend of oiled gods battling in a ring and goddesses glistening and dazzling with skill, costume and wit. What more do you want!? I am headed down to Brighton for Traumfrau's Mx Alternative Beauty Pageant, I'll be hosting, throwing shoes about and generally being fabulous. I can't wait!
SATURDAY
Another busyyy Saturday for #TheFF... Miss Cairo will be singing and stripping with Soho Burlesque Club at The Hippodrome Casino, hosted by the beautiful Polly Rae. Miss Cairo's Jessica Rabbit is a showstopper! Then she'll be skipping off to Cliche to join Meth, who is hostess with the mostess; think Bougie and I will make a little appearance there as well. I did Scottee's Hamburger Queen contest a few weeks ago and had a ball, can't wait to see what that fat bitch turns out for this! Lolo will be go-going and doing fabulous freakshow at Cirque le Soir, with her mesmerizing beauty and glittering strap-on she's the perfect gal to whip any party into a frenzyyy!
SUNDAY
A dayyy 'off' for the #FamilyyyFierce as we wish Bon Voyage! to an amazing colleague and friend as they move onwards and upwards in queer performance and academia. This one is a Familyyy affair darlings, so I won't say anything more, just know we'll be happy, tipsy and loved up!

The SRJH Drag Series Episode One Transcript
Hello darlings! And welcome back to the SRJH, I am Rubyyy with three Y's Jones and I am your host, thank you to Shoreditch Radio for having me for this episode of the show. Last week we were talking about Saving Your Rubyyy Jones and we spoke with BDSM practitioner Sir Claire Black and writer and star of Slap Alexis Gregory as well as some immortal words from the living goddess and queen RuPaul. I turn to this goddess now to open the song with our first song, it's RuPaul with Supermodel SONG #1 RuPaul / Supermodel Thank youuu RuPaul! What a wonderful way to begin this month's show as the first in my series of shows on everything DRAG! Each episode we'll be talking to different queens, artists, queers and academics about their points of view, their passions and their love of drag... This month I met up with some lovely friends of mine, thought we'd kick it off with some extra looove, and so I'll be introducing you to members of my family! This first interview is with Maxi, a drag artists, filmmaker and dreamer who I recorded on site in his new home; Maxi started a project a few months ago: to find a garden to live in and love in London. Dreams of a big pink tent, a glittery, growing garden and surviving another summer in the big bad city. She is the common garden drag queen, have a listen. INTERVIEW #1 Lady Tena Thank you Maxi! You can find her on commongardendragqueen.tumblr.com or on the hashtag commongardendragqueen and we will keep you posted about where you can donate, support and sponsor a drag queen this summer! This next song is Honey Boo Boo by Ab Soto and it goes out to Maxi and all the edgy edgy potato wedgy drag queens on the scene: Here we go! SONG #2 ABSOTO / Honey Boo Hope you enjoyed that you beautiful butch queens! Yummmmm and now some food for thought! I sat down with the lovely Joe Parslow of Queer (in) Crisis to talk about the blog and the crisis of drag in London. Apologies from Oscar for being so noisy but what can you do? He's a dog! Please enjoyyy... INTERVIEW #2 Joe Parslow Thank you so much Joe! I can't wait to have him back on the show again! Such a thoughtful and witty young man - I love him! You can find him and his fellows at queerincrisis.wordpress.com there's lots of brain food on there and it's worth a thorough peruse. A nothing young witty person coming up! Winning of RuPaul's drag race season four, the legendary, the spooky Sharon Needles. Sharon wrote this song as a young bullied boy, an entry in his diary, a wish sent to the universe to meet this creature he adored - this is the version from his first album PG-13 but I also encourage you to check out the live version featuring Amanda Lepore and Sharon onstage together; this album is available on itunes and this is I Wish I Were Amanda Lepore SONG #3 Sharon Needles / I Wish I Were Amanda Lepore How beautiful is that song!? And it's an amazing album, do support a queen and buy it! Speaking of queens who need money, I invaded London's premiere Drag Garden today and I brought along a half naked Miss Cairo for some fun. Miss Cairo is a genderbending burlesque and drag artist; a erotic award nominee for Performer of the Year in 2013, a Drag Idol competitor, Time Out's Rising Star Drag Queen 2013 and the supermodel of Norfolk! NOW I have to say and apologise, Miss Cairo used a word I would not condone using, she apologises in this interview and wants you to know she's very very veryyy prettyyy... INTERVIEW #3 Miss Cairo Hahaha Thank you so much Miss Cairo, you can find her on twitter @MissCairo_ or on FB as Miss Cairo Mascara or on a street corner near you! Also Maxi and Miss Cairo will both be at the Save Rubyyy Jones Revue, on July 19th, for a very draggy, dark, debaucherous show all about: Death! Do come along! Thank you to all my generous and great guests today for their support and speed, it was wonderful to start my drag series with you! I love you! And YES this is just the beginning of my exploration into drag, I'll be bringing you superstars, innovators, haters and chasers from the drag and tranny culture scene - tweet me @rubyyyjones to have your favourite queens on air! You can find more about me and all that jazz on rubyyjones.com and for more about my monthly revue and this radio show go to saverubyyyjones.tumblr.com I adore you dear listeners and want to thank you for saving Rubyyy Jones in your own special way today! I leave you with the delightful, the draggiest of drag, a DIVA - this is Divine with Shoot the Shot
