With their words slithering into their enemies’ minds and sneaking into their brain, their own army became riddled with doubt. During these trying times, they looked for words that had guided them in the past -- quotes to show them that words can be just as beneficial as they can be harmful  ❜

SOLDIERS: for your mission this month, as it is Black History Month, we have decided to shine the spotlight on those that history often overlooks, and celebrate what makes this world so rich, beautiful, and special: diversity. That is why our fifth mission will consist on honoring characters of color.

Zombies, Run! Mission 05: Paul Revere

[May contain spoilers up to Mission 18.

This is a relisten. I began these with Mission 14, therefore, my original thoughts on this mission were not recorded.]

JANINE. IT'S JANINE. HELLO JANINE.

This is also our first instance of Sam/Marmite. And he's very snippy about Janine entering a building that is, you know, kind of on her property and shit. It's like when I'm at work and I'm Bar One. When I am B1, it is my bar. Do not touch my bar. Yes, okay, technically it doesn't really truly literally belong to me and our deployment could change any moment, but when it is my bar IT IS MY BAR AND WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING IT. What I'm trying to say is I know Sam, in my soul and stuff.

Okay, I didn't take many notes this time because I only listened to, like, two parts at work and listened to the rest immediately before typing this. Didn't think it'd be necessary to write anything down. All of the notes I did take? Are basically about how much I love Janine and Sam bickering. And also how apparently I was just chilling out at the gates quietly for several minutes, waiting for them to figure out if I was running this mission or not.

What's really fun about this mission is the Special Item that gets picked up:  A note from Netrophil. If you message the e-mail address provided, you do get an auto response about like government conspiracies and stuff. Fun times!

Going to run Mission 19 today, as soon as I swap out some music and fluff up my queue a little to cover the timespan. Getting close to the end of this season. Sad. Also, I accidentally spoiled part of this mission looking for a quote from Chris. Not looking forward to this...
