"Because, hon, he's my best friend. I know, if he was here he'd call me all sorts of unsavory things for saying this, but he's the only person who was there for me, before you. He used to hold my hand during thunderstorms at Wammy's, and he was my first kiss. He was my first everything. He's the only person who didn't come out of me who I trust." She scrunches up her nose and holds his hand. "I'm pretty hopelessly in love with him. And he gave me my number one joy in this world." She smiled.
♫~ Listening to her he could almost throw up. Matt wasn’t exactly the ‘prince charming’ she was making him out to be, never had been. There wasn’t a time that Issak could remember his father actually being kind to him. Not for any long amount of time. Cruel and closed minded, that’s all his dad was. Issak knew this. How could his mother not just accept it.
♫~Issak yanked his hand away, pushing even farther away from her. He wasn’t going to do this today. He couldn’t mentally deal with it.
“No. He’s disgusting and cruel. You know it.”
