I guess this is as good a time as any to proclaim that you inspire me. Whenever I see a new fic of yours has been posted, I just know it's going to be a juicy one worth reading several times, and often with just as perfect art to boot. Your Monsters and Men had a good hand in inspiring me in creating my own kistune AU where Zenyatta and Mondatta are ancient kistunes who guide the Shambali with their wisdom and magic. Of course Genji comes along and eventually him and Zen want a family. ;) Thank.

Zendatta, Star Wars AU

He observes as Zenyatta disposes of the attackers, opticalreceptors focused on how every move is effortless, no waste, no strain.

Afterwards, he approaches him slowly. “Ruthless,” hemurmurs. “The Force is strong within you.”

He sees the subtle stiffening in Zenyatta’s servos, handscurling into fists as he attempts to seem unaffected. “Oh. So your apparentweakness was a ruse. You are no helpless traveller.”

“No.”

“Droids cannot feel the Force,” Zenyatta says next, and Mondatta’sforehead array flashes in a smile. They both can feel the lie in his words.

“Oh, they can. And it runs so strong within you, it aidsyour every move, and yet it is unrefined. There is so much you could learn, ifyou had proper guidance.”

“I do not need the help of a Jedi. I do not wish to learnhow to bring my skills to the Light. There is no Light. I’ve heard it allbefore, and I am not interested.” The tone is curt, sharp, and Mondatta hums inunderstanding. He has seen a lot, before. Many have come, interested,intrigued. Perhaps, shocked to see the source of the Force inhabiting a droid.

“I am no Jedi,” he answers, amused. The mistake is expected.

Zenyatta’s servos do not relax. He draws a step back, wary.His aura reads of something darker, almost afraid. “I do not wish to hear whichfaction you belong to. I have seen others equally interested, and I told them whatI am telling you –I do not wish to offer whatever this is to anyone. Light orDark, I do not wish to travel that path.”

“I am no Sith, either.” Mondatta’s synth crackles indislike, aware of what, exactly, Zenyatta might have been ‘offered’, and inwhat terms, even after his refusal.

The small limp, the dents on his chassis, barely fixed… itcan be explained, now.

His words, though, make Zenyatta’s stance break. He appearsconfused now, forehead array blinking. “Then, what are you?”

“I am Tekhartha Mondatta. I only belong to myself. I am notoffering you to travel my path… I am offering to walk along yours for as longas you might wish to, so that I might offer my aid as you grow and learn. I am interestedin what you will become, but I do not ask you to take a side. All there is inthe Universe is Balance, and the Force is also balance. We are all one withinit, Sith and Jedi alike, but they often forget that they are not the entiretyof it, and all that there is in-between matters just as much.”

“… and what is in-between, then?”

“Us.”

A pause, a beat, then –Zenyatta laughs. It’s short, butamused. “Alright, Tekhartha Mondatta. If anything, it will not be boring.”

... the... the punctuation INSIDE speech bubbles as opposed to OUTSIDE which was a marking thing i loved doing until very recently but then my bab told me ‘it really detracts from attention’ and i was like... ‘i gotta... change...’ but like. going back to change ALL my past fic would mean dig up literally all my fandoms from early on beyblade-naruto to hetalia and homestuck and my earlier ovw fics so like

9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

depends on the fandom. when i was into cartoons/anime/manga i used to watch episodes/read volumes or parts of them and build from there. since i got into this damn game it’s mostly like. listening to voicelines and talking w people and exchanging ideas and building from there instead :)

and my insatiable lust for zen lore since nobody’s gon give it to me

10) write in silence or with background noise? with people or alone?

depends. :) i dont mind writing w people around and ive done it extensively, esp porn since like. nobody i know ‘round here knows enough english even if they gave a fuck about peeking over to check. when i used to live in an apartment w people they also wrote lots of fics so ;)

but also writing alone.

as for music/noise, it does help but sometimes i just dont have the energy to browse for the perfect set of songs/background music so i just.

aah, if i owned the game i would probably become the Salty Zenyatta player

and idk if i’d be good or not at it, i usually fail at this sort of game enough that it’d be embarrassing, but i think since zen is zen i’d just be a stubborn ass about it until i got results

so yes i’d probably main zenyatta 80% of the time, but i’d try them all at least once because some of their styles are more MY style

(my style in rpg games is like, full out fucking attack smash something who cares about defense FUCK EVERYTHING)

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

this is mean and i should not have favourites over others when i’m their creator BUT YES.

Kiya is the first OC i ever created, who moved up from being a beyblade oc (who died) into an all-purpose OC who just does his thing as if he’s a real person. (as in, in my mind he’s off having his adventures in whatever new fandom i get into, lucky bab) as he’s been by my side for more than a decade, i’m obviously fond of him.

Second is Owyn, who is also one of the first ocs i’ve created and changed a lot overtime. he’s my precious cinnamon boo

13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?

oh boy. Sebastian (werewolf) is rather troublesome, Felipe and Vassilj (humans) get into a lot of shit when they are unsupervised. Horux (sorta changeling) doesn’t give a single fuck about anything so he will Get Into Shit and a lot of it. Thor (alien demon) grows up to be a fucking troublemaker(tm). Team 34 are basically made to be a team of troublemakers.

28. Your most dangerous OC?

uh. define dangerous. in terms of evil prowess and mayhem chance, Fuamnach the witch. in terms of power, Falkia (half demon), in terms of ‘will destroy everything to protect what deserves to be protected’ there’s both Kalen, Owyn and some more.

Then there’s Ciel. Incognita. He does not look dangerous but oh, man. He might.

38. Which one of your OCs would be the best dancer?

Desdemona, Louis and Aleph. Desdemona wouldn’t dance unless she was in a small, confined place with people she trusts, but then she’d be fucking good at it but traditional dancing mostly. Louis is more of a jack of all trades sort of person, so he knows how to dance because it might be needed but also like, the sexy kind. Aleph was taught since birth how to hold himself as a demon prince, so he knows how to dance. some dances he does are rather dangerous, too.

6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?

Wander really appreciates Peeper’s fierce attitude (and his loyalty), and he will say that to him to get him flustered, but also: he loves how cute Peepers is, hardly anything can top that.

Peepers has come to enjoy how much Wander can keep going, no matter what, it’s a kind of resilence he has yet to attain and Wander’s positive attitude towards anything might be insuffferable a lot of the time, but Peepers would miss it greatly if it was gone. (Peepers has also learned he enjoys seeing Wander smile, though he’d be hard pressed to admit that where someone else can hear, what little grumpy mcpants he is)

9. Who worries the most?

Peepers worries a fucking lot. Like, Worrywart is probably his second name. He wouldn’t be a stressed out ball of anxiety if he didn’t worry all the time about everything, but Wander can come close a lot when he’s in certain moods, and those moods also include ‘chance of significant other/friend getting hurt’ or ‘destruction of the galaxy imminent’, which can happen at any given day at varying degrees and Wander stresses very easily, really. he’s just good at hiding it)

15. Who wakes up first?

This is funny because you can’t really see Peepers GOING TO BED TO BEGIN WITH, he has a lot of work to do and little time to do it all, so doing all nighters is pretty normal, while Wander wakes up early most of the time because he goes through a lot of morning activities, and time is relative when one is Wander. But these things don’t do themselves, you know?

This is mostly funny whenever they want to make breakfast for the other. Peepers takes that as a challenge, but somehow Wander always wins.

Genyatta:

3. Most common argument?

safety measures. they are both aware that the other is capable and rather strong, but they can’t help worrying, especially when they are in danger so often. it comes with them caring for one another so much. they trust and have faith in each other, but worry is not rational. 

(also: methods of travelling, money, treatment of zenyatta as an omnic by others, treatment of genji because he looks like an omnic by others, the shambali, overwatch, hanzo, talon, etc. because honestly, i can’t see them as always being in agreement with one another, but they resove arguments by being honest, talking it out and discussing things as they come, because communication is the key)

5. Who is most likely to carry the other?

zenyatta has movement restrictions and thus a lowered speed, so genji carries him around often if they have to move quickly out of the way or to get him out of immediate danger, while zenyatta carries him out whenever genji gets hurt and can’t walk. (they also both love to pamper the other so sometimes they just... do it because they can, ok. mushy couple.)

13. Who reaches for the other’s hand first?

Genji requires contact often, so he’s the first to do soafter zenyatta makes it clear for him that any contact is welcome andappreciated, and never rebukes it unless it’s a special case. Also, Genji prefersto initiate to have a grip on the amount of physical contact he feels he canmanage at any given time. Still there are times when Zenyatta is the first toinitiate, and those are times Genji treasures a lot, since Zenyatta alwaysmakes sure Genji is 100% on board with the hand holding and eventual hugsbefore proceeding, and seems to know when Genji needs it.

20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?

I’d like to say, going for the humour, that Hanzo is thegrumpy older brother somehow and really disapproves, which would be amusing tosee in comic format, esp if Genji takes that as a challenge to make out and bethe mushy mushy boyfriend in front of him specifically to annoy the shit out ofHanzo. Rile him up Genji!

Or less humorous take where Hanzo doesn’t feel like he hasany right to be in Genji’s new life, and still has trouble accepting that theperson Genji is, is also the Genji he was before, so he doesn’t feel like he cansay shit about who Genji is with (while also being not really on board with thewhole omnic thing, either), and a lot of self esteem issues, coupled withbroken family ties, attempts at reconciling and growing up and changing andbecoming better, where Zenyatta plays such a huge part in making everybody getalong that he’s basically a precious patient angel, and Genji wants Hanzo backbut is also ready to fight and not willing to take any shit.

(as for other family, Mondatta is. Dead. But when he wasalive he totally called it before it happened and was told of it after Zenyattaleft the monastery but he was completely THRILLED and gushed to the rest of thedisgruntled monks for MONTHS.)

(overwatch comes later. They grow on them. they arehappy for genji. he was not.... ok before. he is now. that’s all they feel they’re allowed to think for messing him so much. as for new overwatch, well. they all take to zen like puppies welcoming a new puppy into the group, heh)

24. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times?

Part of me wants to answer Genji, because he’s snarky andannoying and irreverent and smug, but I bet for that, too, it becomes a bit ofa personal challenge. Zenyatta does the same thing because he enjoys the way Genjisnorts in amusement and shock every time he manages to surprise him with a wellplaced whisper. (hey lil mama lemme whisper in yo ear but like 2070 version)(because it’s both memes and nsfw edition)
