Just realized I never actually drew Weiss perching on Jaune like I did the rest of the gang
So here she is to finish the set
Can you put Jaune in a comfy situation?
After everything I’ve done to him, he deserves it
LET PYRRHA PERCH ON HER BF
Pyrrha says that it’s strength training, but really she just likes it when he carries her
Jaune, meanwhile, knows that it’s not strength training, but he wants her to get to indulge in her childish side since she never got to before
ART THERAPY BOY LIVES! Do the other Jaunes haze him for having tasteful yet suggestive art of Weiss?
Healing Rust: Anyone who wants to mess with him can go through me
Artist: You don’t have to-
Healing Rust: No, you’re probably the only one of us who coped with That Place in a healthy way
Healing Rust: Any of us who HAVENT been through that hell don’t get to talk shit
Mistral: Was it really so bad?
CatsVDogs: *shudders* You have no idea
I have to imagine that a number of the Jaunes end up sharing stories about the Pyrrha of their world. A small informal circle for those who lost her.
PJO Jaune's story is without a doubt the most heartbreaking to me.
When the topic of Pyrrha’s death comes up during the discussion on crushes, most of them end up sharing their stories. Her smile, her laugh, the little differences between the worlds, and the similarities.
How she died.
It’s demoralizing how their worlds can be so different, but this one thing is the same. The Jaunes who lost her wonder if she was right about destiny, and the Jaunes still at Beacon wonder if they have any chance of saving her
Pyrrha is killed by Cinder during the Fall of Beacon. Pyrrha is killed by Cinder in the halls of a secret lab. Pyrrha is killed by Cinder in the Battle of New York
Mistral: New York? Is that a kingdom?
PJO: Nah, it’s just a city, a big one
PJO: The titan, Kronos, his army is laying siege to the city. It's where the gods' seat of power is, so if he takes it he can destroy them permanently Healing Rust: The gods are still there on your world?? PJO: Different gods, but yeah PJO: There's this prophecy that the child of one of the Big Three will be the one to decide the fate of the world PJO: And Pyrrha is one of those children because of a destiny creation technicality thing, so she was the prophecy child for YEARS PJO: But then Ruby came along and is ALSO a child of the Big Three, which made the whole thing a lot more complicated PJO: Pyrrha wanted to FORCE the prophecy to focus on her, so that Ruby wouldn't have to make the choice
PJO's world is so different than most of theirs. The gods are still around? A CHILD of the gods? A prophecy? Who are the Big Three? They don't speak up, even though they're bursting with questions. The Jaunes know themselves well enough to get that if PJO stops telling the story, he'll never be able to keep going
PJO: She's sort of... It's complicated PJO: Two of the gods knew the war was coming so they worked together to MAKE the perfect prophecy child PJO: Pyrrha is the reincarnation of an ancient hero? This nigh invincible warrior or whatever, killed by an arrow shot in his heel
Several of the Jaunes flinch, having heard about the circumstances of Pyrrha's death from Ruby. Why were only the WORST details the ones in common across their worlds?
PJO: I found her, ya know? Shot with an arrow in her heel. Cinder's arrow PJO: Everyone was still fighting, but someone said Pyrrha ran off to fight Cinder and MAKE the prophecy focus on her, and I just... PJO: I tried healing her PJO: *choking up* Gods I tried everything, healing's the only power I ever got from my dad, and I couldn't even do THAT right PJO: She... She'd been destined to die from the moment she was born PJO: And I'm the idiot who thought he could keep the Fates from cutting her cord PJO: *fully sobbing now* Gods I could FEEL when she died PJO: I just wanted to heal her, why did Apollo have to make me FEEL-
He collapses into Mistral, sobs shaking him apart, and all Mistral can do is hold the him from another world. None of the other Jaunes can say anything. Most of them can't even imagine feeling someone else's death, and those that can wouldn't wish the fate on anyone, let alone an alternate Jaune.
Voices shuffles over and takes Mistral's place, whispering words the others can't hear. Words from HIS Pyrrha, probably, the specter haunting him even in this extradimensional space.
PJO looks so small. They remember then that gods he's only fifteen. He's a child. Fluffy hair and freckles and big doe eyes and the weight of a war on his shoulders.
He's Oscar's age. Gods he's OSCAR'S age.
If you recognize these color schemes no you don’t
Decided I’m making a series of people perching on the boy
Because he big and he carry he friends
Hush now Jaune, she is searching
