Will you be Toman’s darling? Mikey can’t seem to stop asking, it’s not enough to be able to fuck you whenever he wants, he needs the title that you’re HIS but not only his but also his mates, those guys he loves more than his own life… and unfortunately, you do as well.
You don’t understand why it’s so important to them, but each one has asked the same question over and over again. Draken kisses you, his tongue dancing with yours while his hips don’t miss a single thrust, it’s delicious, it’s delirious and he only dares to break the kiss to ask. “Will you be ours?” —You don’t answer, just bite his lip and begin to thrust your hips to him, as a way to distract him but he’s not dumb and less of all, a quitter, so he won’t give up, none of them will!
Baji’s strong hands anchor you to him, perched on either side of your hips as he rams you from behind, your eyes have been blank for more than fifteen minutes, his name rolls off your tongue like your private mantra and from his tongue rolls: “Say yes,” his ragged breath demands, “Stop torturing us and say yes, shit!” The answer he wants to hear isn’t spoken but that doesn’t discourage him from cumming deep inside you -marking you from the inside out at least gives him so kind of relieve-….
Mitsuya’s attempts are more tender, kisses and cuddles, your naked bodies tangled in each other, the strong fingers of his fist tangled among your sweaty strands of silky hair, each thrust hitting that special place inside you that makes you see stars, his lips only parting to adore you and when you think you’re safe: “We will take care of you, we will go out of our way for you… just say yes, just grant us that favor—be OURS….”. Apparently being filled by each and every one of these gang members isn’t enough, moaning their names and marking their necks with hickey doesn’t satisfy them, they want you for themselves, they want you in their gang as their banner as their princess.
Mikey is the most stubborn, his fat thumb slides under your skirt, snaking behind your panties, two fingers accompanying it to slip inside you, drumming and circling your clit as if it were the joystick of an Xbox control, your flushed cheeks and half-open lids delight him, makes him drunk and dizzy, just being able to put you in that delirious state. He knows it’s his mission in life to have you like this forever, you’re his, you must conquer Tokyo with them, you must stop resisting and agree to their terms. Mikey doesn’t waste any moment to ask, while he kisses you, while he eats you out, while he makes you cum harder than ever.
“Will you be ours? ....yesyesyesyes-?”
Their teamwork is weakening your good judgment, it’s too much, your knees buckle, and your voice is a permanent moan. Damn! Your shivering lips parted and the gazes of the four gang members shine with hope. Anxiety and stress can be detected in their clenched fists, a heavy silence falls over everyone when you say:
“I’m already yours, why do we need to tag it… I’m not going anywhere.”
There is disappointment, frustration, even anger but also amusement in their features. They won’t accept a refusal. They will just have to keep convincing you, again and again and again. You are stubborn, but so are they.
Guess who’s gona break up with her boyfriend/ be broken up with! Yk what this means?
GUESS WHOS GONA COME BACK TO WRITING FAN FICTION!!!!!
I wana come back to writing again so I’m taking like suggestions at the moment and might continue some stories that i had previously written and not posted about
synopsis: mitsuya couldn’t understand why you kept asking him about draken.
pairings: mitsuya x f!reader
warnings: none!
wc: 2.4k
note/s: shortest slowburn i’ve ever written tbh, it’s not as angsty as i wanted it to be but i do think this is cute, lmk what you think! also this is the first piece i've written fully on my ipad (i usually write on my laptop) so this was a bit challenging to physically type
“i’m sorry, could you repeat that?” mitsuya asks, trying to make sense of the situation, you sighed before looking at him with a shy expression on your face.
“do you know what kind of chocolate draken likes?” ah. that’s what you said. cool. cool. mitsuya pretends that his heart didn’t drop to his stomach.
why are you, out of all people, asking about draken? mitsuya isn’t sure he wants to know the answer.
“hello? earth to taka? you still there?” you giggled, waving a hand in front of his face, mitsuya seems to snap out of his trance as he blinks with his pursed lips.
“yeah. he prefers the darker kind of chocolate.” mitsuya answers, trying to gauge how you would react, but your expression was hard to read. “i see.”
“alright, thank you, takashi!” with that, you turned on your heel and left, leaving mitsuya to wonder what that was all about.
—
if you were to ask mitsuya when he started liking you, he’d have no definite answer, seeing as for him, liking you was just something he realized along the way and he couldn’t go back, he’s fallen way too far to get back up.
but if you were to ask mitsuya if he thinks you felt the same for him, he would say yes. or that was how he would’ve answered in the past because right now, he was in a state of confusion as to why you kept asking about draken.
“what kind of shapes do you think he’d like for his chocolate?” “i don’t think he’d care.”
“would he prefer red wrapping paper or…” “i don’t think he’d even look at it much.”
“do you think he’d at least appreciate the gift?” “dunno.”
you frowned, not liking how clipped mitsuya’s answers were becoming.
“are you okay, taka?” “peachy.” mitsuya mutters, fighting the urge to roll them back in annoyance.
mitsuya is very much aware that he wasn’t acting like himself. but he couldn’t bring himself to correct his behavior because for the past two hours that you hung out with him, all you talked about was draken.
the purplenette never thought he’d say this but he’s so close to developing some form of resentment towards his sworn brother.
“you don’t sound okay, taka, you know you can talk to me, right?” mitsuya nods, going back to his sketch at work.
“oh, is that a new design?” mitsuya nods once more, not taking his eyes off the lines he was etching onto the paper.
“what’s the inspiration behind it?” mitsuya freezes in his actions. the dress’ motif was inspired by you. by the things you liked. hell, he even had a cardigan that was designed to suit your tastes in the works, but he isn’t even sure if he wanted to finish it, what good would his gift do when all you ever asked about was draken, draken, draken.
“it’s… for someone really special to me.” mitsuya answers, as vaguely as he can muster and he thinks that he’s imagining it, but from the corner of his eye, he can see the way your face dropped, but again, he wasn’t so sure.
“whoever you like must be really lucky, huh?” yeah. you’re so lucky, idiot. mitsuya badly wants to answer, but he opts for a smile on his face, a smile that he doesn’t realize belonged to someone who was in love. a smile that was for you, but you didn’t know. mitsuya thinks that he’d rather never let you know.
“i don’t think she likes me, honestly.” mitsuya decides to play rhetorically, knowing that you were too dense to catch up on his insinuations, knowing that you thought of him platonically.
you let out an offended gasp, “how could she not like you?!”
“you’re like, perfect, that’s her loss. are you sure she doesn’t like you?” “i don’t know? do you like me?” mitsuya hoped he wasn’t being too obvious.
“of course i do—“ mitsuya’s heart stuttered in his chest. “you’re a really great person, you’re such a loyal friend and anyone would be so lucky to have you!” right. dense. mitsuya wanted to slap a palm on his forehead but decided against it, he knew that you wouldn’t catch up on his words.
he didn’t know whether to feel relieved or disappointed.
valentine’s was rolling around the corner, the restos and cafes that they used to walk by made it pretty obvious that valentine’s day was fast approaching, as if the couple promos and red heart decorations scattered across the block couldn’t be any more obnoxious about it.
mitsuya feels his chest get heavier day by day as he feels valentine’s approach, he knew that he was mentally counting the days when you would confess your love to draken and he was slowly starting to detach himself to you, but you wouldn’t let him.
“do you have any plans this valentine’s, taka?” you asked as you played with the straw in your drink. mitsuya looks down on his coffee, wondeirng whether he should shrug the question off or answer truthfully. he decides on the latter.
“have the girl of my dreams confess to her crush, so i’m dreading the day it comes, honestly.” mitsuya says and a hurt expression passes on your face, it went away right before he could see it.
“do you really have no chance with her?” you ask cautiously, not wanting to seem too nosy. mitsuya shakes his head.
“she likes someone else, and she’s made that obvious for the past few weeks. so really, what else am i supposed to do?” you purse your lips, not knowing what else to tell him.
“she must be really dumb if she can’t realize how lucky she is.” you pout, feeling your heart break a little bit and mitsuya wants to bash his head against the wall because of how oblivious you seemed to be.
“seems so.” mitsuya clipped back.
the two of sat in silence, not knowing what to say but there was a building tension that you could almost cut with a knife. you hated it, you wanted it to disappear, with that, you tried to disperse the awkward tension.
“ne… mitsuya.” you call for his attention. “hm?”
“do you think you can tell draken to come at the pier on valentine’s?” his heart just shattered. his grip on the glass of iced coffee just tightened up and he hopes you didn’t notice.
“sure.” “thank you, taka!” then it was silent again before mitsuya breaks it himself.
“i have to go, (l/n)-san.” mitsuya stands up, excusing himself. “it’s time for me to go pick up luna and mana.“ “i can come with-“ “no.” you blinked, a bit shocked at his response, mitsuya notices the out of character reaction as he quickly composes himself.
“we have to go somewhere after, family errands.” he lies, hoping you buy it. you nod with a conflicted expression, he nods back in goodbye before he walks away, leaving you to wonder what was wrong.
the day of valentine’s came and mitsuya couldn’t help but lock himself in his room. he wanted the day to end faster, he even went as far as muting his phone, not wanting to see potential texts from you or draken saying that you were now official.
a knock interrupts his thoughts, “i’m not in the mood, mana.” he called out.
“it’s not mana.” he hears your voice call, mitsuya bites back a groan, not wanting to see you today. “open up.” you say, knocking— banging on his door. mitsuya groans once more, getting up and opening the door.
to say his breath was blown away would be a massive understatement. you were dressed up, make-up suiting your face perfectly, the clothes you wore complimented your figure and he almost wanted to dock draken’s face in for taking what’s his- no. mitsuya thinks to himself, i should be happy for them.
“you look nice.” mitsuya comments, and he might be delusional, but he could’ve sworn that you appeared flustered before his eyes.
“t-thanks” you coughed, before shaking your head and smiling. “come on, let’s go!”
mitsuya was now confused. “huh? where?”
“the confession for draken, let’s go! go get dressed.” any semblance of happiness mitsuya sported now left his body as he frowns.
you take notice, but not for the right reasons. “i know having your friend be confessed to isn’t the ideal valentine’s for you, but i’ll make it up to you, hurry up, let’s go! i didn’t waste time just to not see it happen so let’s go!” although mitsuya was a bit heartbroken and confused, he dressed up and just under a few minutes, you were pulling him out of his house, ignoring the way luna and mana were making kissy faces at the two of you.
“there!” you gushed, pointing at the pier where the confession would happen.
mitsuya was expecting you to let go of his arm and ready yourself for your confession.
‘this is for the better.’ he thinks. ‘if i can see it happen, then that’s closure for me’
he was surprised when you let out a quiet squeal, slapping his arm repeatedly as you beamed at the scene in front of you.
mitsuya turns to the scene, only now seeing the closest thing he can call as a brother stand in front of the pier, as if he were waiting for someone.
the purplenette turns back to you, a confused expression on his face. ‘aren’t you going to go to him?’ he badly wants to ask, but he doesn’t want to see you walk away from him.
“go girl.” you whisper under your breath. before mitsuya could question you, he sees a blonde emerging from the corner.
“ken-chan.” the all too familiar voice of his leader’s younger sister was loud amidst the silence of the pier.
sano emma. she was right in front of draken, not you.
“ah, emma. you called?” mitsuya watches with a bated breath, he could clearly see that emma was holding a box of chocolates behind her back.
“uh… i, uh…” “hm?” “please be my valentine, ken-chan!” emma closes her eyes, bowing her head as she pushes the box with her arms.
mitsuya feels you stiffen beside him as you hold your breath. watching in anticipation. mitsuya was startled when you clung to his arm, eyes still in front of the scene. you let out a squeal when you see draken smile and place a hand on emma’s head, ruffling her hair slightly as he takes the box in her hand.
“success!” you whispered excitedly before you looked at him with sparkles in your eyes.
wait. huh? you looked at him, confused. shit. he said that out loud.
“i thought you…” mitsuya’s words caught on his tongue, but you seemed to pick up on what he wanted to say as your eyes widened, your head shaking in denial. “liked draken? oh my god, no.” you denied.
“i was only helping out emma, but she told me i couldn’t tell anyone about her crush.” “that was supposed to be a secret?” “not the point, takashi!” you fought off a giggle. “that’s why i asked you, because i know you know him and you wouldn't get suspicious, if i asked mikey then the whole world would know in the next five minutes.” you ranted
mitsuya finds you cute.
“i really thought you liked draken…” mitsuya admits. you huffed, “girl code, taka, and no. i like someone else.”
mitsuya could not catch a break.
“who?” he couldn’t help but ask, not even bothering to be discreet. you gave him a shy smile, “his best friend.”
“mikey?!” “god, no!” you exasperated, “why are you so dense?”
mitsuya.exe has stopped responding.
“i’m dense? do you even hear yourself?” mitsuya retorts. “you’ve been killing me the entire time you asked about draken, you made me think that you’ve fallen completely for him. you should be an actor.”
you were curious to see where this conversation was going, you ignored the way your heart was beginning to thump loudly against your chest.
“and what if i did fall for him? why does it matter?” you lure him into a trap. wanting to hear a specific answer
luckily for you, mitsuya wasn’t as dense as you.
“because. you’re mine.” a smile threatened to escape your lips at the possesiveness he showed, his arm went around your waist pulling you close.
“right?” mitsuya asks for assurance. you bit your lower lip slightly and whispered. “you didn’t ask me yet.”
mitsuya almost laughs, but he opts to put his forehead on yours, breaths almost intermingling with each other. “be my valentine.”
you giggle, looping your arms around his neck. “that doesn’t sound like a question.”
“it wasn’t.” mitsuya affirms, you smile, letting your lips fall on his cheek and you feel him pull your figure closer to him, longing for the warmth of your body against his.
“you’re my valentine for years to come, alright? so don’t ask me about any other men.” mitsuya warns.
“okay, taka.” you relented, closing your eyes with a smile, enjoying his scent close to yours.
“oi, go do that at your house! have some decency.” the both of you pulled away, facing draken and emma who wore teasing smiles at the two of you.
“you should hide better next time, (y/n)-chan.” emma tuts playfully, you huffed, before you walk towards them, only getting stopped by mitsuya intertwining your hands together as the two of you walked.
“i know i asked you to help me with my valentine, but i didn’t know that you’d get one yourself,” emma teases.
“mission success with a bonus.” you winked and the two men couldn’t help but look at the two of you with endeared expressions.
“anyway, we have to go.” you announce, pulling mitsuya away.
“we do?” mitsuya asks as he follows your lead. “we do.” you smile at him, stopping him in his tracks to place another kiss in his cheek.
“you don’t expect me to be your valentine without giving you chocolate, do you?”
perfect timing, mitsuya wanted to see if the cardigan he made would fit you. (of course it will, it was for you. and of course the chocolates suited his tastes. it was for him.)
"Mitsuya-kun is strong in fights, belongs to a club, is good at sewing, can cook, is the lead singer of a band, and has a playful side, so I think he has a lot of attributes. No matter how you look at him."
HOLD ON A SECOND NOW KEN WAKUI NEEDS TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY IS MITSUYA A LEAD SINGER AAAAAAAAAA

“Are you mad at me?”
Rindou pulled his eyes away from Ran with young girl’s question and turned to her. When he saw Y/n’s sad expression, he sighed and smiled while patting her head. This was one of the rare times Rindou showed his affection. He wasn’t a guy like his older brother, he just showed his affection with his actions.
“No, I’m not. But I hope you realize how much you scared us, Y/n. You can’t even imagine how scared Ran was when we saw you with that Toman captain.”
Y/n nodded her head. Without taking her gaze off the floor, she spoke quietly
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you. I… I just wanted to help Mitsuya-san.”
Rindou winced at hearing his enemy’s name again. He knew the Toman captains. Even if Mitsuya was the best among them, seeing one of them next to his little sister made his stomach turn.
“Y/n… don’t forget how dangerous he is. He’s a gang member.”
Rindou knew that he and his older brother were more dangerous, but he knew that they shouldn't trust any gang members. That's why he wanted his sister to stay away from all of them. For years, he and his older brother had kept y/n away from everything. Of course, y/n knew that her older brothers were two delinquents, but she had no idea that they ruled Roppongi.
The young girl could understand why they were so protective. Their parents were never home. That's why Ran had raised both of them. And both Ran and Rindou were overprotective brothers for y/n.
Y/n looked at her older brother and the lilac-haired boy who were a little far away without saying anything. They were waiting with Rindou by the motorcycles. And she was very curious about what the two of them were talking about.
Ran and Mitsuya were still nervous. After Ran threatened Mitsuya, Mitsuya smiled calmly and shook his head.
"She doesn't know, does she? She doesn't know how dangerous you and Rindou are, what you do, nothing." Ran twirled his braid with his finger and looked at the lilac-haired boy with a stern look.
“And she will never know, Mitsuya. That’s the only way to keep her safe. You will stay away from her forever. Or else-“
“Or else you will kill me,” Mitsuya finished Ran’s sentence. “I respect you, Ran. I have always respected you. You may not be a good person, but you are definitely a good brother.”
When Ran looked at Mitsuya in surprise, Mitsuya smiled.
“But you are wrong. Neither I nor Toman would ever touch a girl.”
Ran did not say anything. He continued to look at him with the same gaze.
“And… this life you are hiding from her will not keep her safe. She has the right to know the truth-“
Ran grabbed Mitsuya’s collar harshly, thinking that he was threatening him.
“You will stay away from her, or I will hunt down not only you, but every single Toman member. Did you hear me?!”
Mitsuya placed his hands on Ran’s wrists with a calm look.
“You know you put her in danger-“
Before Mitsuya could finish his words, something neither of them expected happened. Y/n hugged Ran tightly from behind and spoke in fear
“Onii-chan! Please! Let go of him!”
Ran was frozen in shock. Mitsuya was also looking at Ran in surprise.
“Y/n…”
The young girl tightened her hug at the sound of her brother’s voice. Even though she was afraid of Ran’s reaction, she wanted to save the boy who saved her.
“Onii-chan, please let’s go home.”
Ran quietly removed his hands from Mitsuya’s collar. Rindou was also silently watching his brother and sister. He knew that Ran felt betrayed, but that wasn’t the point. More than anything, Ran was afraid of losing Y/n. That’s why he didn’t say anything.
“Y/n, Rindou. We’re going home.”
Y/n flinched at her brother’s harsh voice. She silently followed both of her brothers.
Mitsuya watched them walk away for a while. He could see how upset Y/n was. He didn't expect the young girl who saved his life to be his enemy’s sister either. But it wasn't hard to understand that Y/n was unaware of everything. So he didn't know how to feel.
He sighed deeply and brushed the dust off himself. He squinted his eyes at the brightness he saw on the ground at that moment. He bent down and picked up the necklace he saw. It was a thin gold necklace. He frowned at the name written on it. This necklace belonged to Y/n.
***
Y/n thought there was dead silence when she got home. Ran went to his room without saying anything. Rindou knew very well why Ran was acting like this. He knew that his brother wasn't angry with Y/n, but offended. It hurt Ran that she stopped him for someone she even didn't know. But he still knew that it wouldn't be like this for long.
Y/n said goodnight to his younger brother and went to her room. She took off her clothes and got ready to take a shower. She untied the kerchief in her hand and looked at the dried blood. It hurt a little, but it didn't hurt as much as his brother's gaze. Then she looked at the kerchief again. She should wash it and give it back to him. But she didn't know how to do it when her brother was definitely asking her to stay away from him...
You recently joined the school sewing club, but you keep to yourself. Until one day you catch the eye of Mitsuya, who notices your talent while you shy away from any sort of attention. Friendship and jealousy arise, but you gain a friend and future sewing collaborator.
The quiet hum of sewing machines filled the fabric-scented air of the sewing clubroom. Mitsuya glanced up from his project, eyes finding you, who were sitting at the far table, new, quiet, always sitting with your shoulders slightly hunched, your hands moving delicately over the fabric like it might break if you press too hard.
He stood and made his way over, curiosity piqued, 'Hey,' he said with a warm smile, 'You’re new, right? Mind if I take a look?'
You startle slightly, glancing up at him with wide eyes before hesitantly turning the sketchbook toward him.
Mitsuya blinked in surprise. The designs were intricate—soft lines, layered textures, tiny notes scribbled in the margins about fabric choices, 'Wow…These are amazing,' he said sincerely, 'You’ve got a real eye for detail.'
You duck your head, ears turning pink, 'I-I… um, thank you…'
Mitsuya chuckled, 'Seriously. You should show these to the others. I bet they’d be impressed.'
You shake your head quickly, 'N-No way…You’re much better. Your work is like…actual fashion.'
'And yours is like something I’d see on a runway,' he said gently, nudging your sketchbook back toward you, 'Don't sell yourself short.'
Your fingers fidget with the edge of the page, 'I-I just do this for fun… I didn’t think anyone would notice…'
Mitsuya leaned on the table, his voice softer now, 'Well, I did. And I think we could learn from each other. Want to work next to me next time?'
You glance up, eyes wide again—but this time, you nod, a small smile tugging at your lips.
Mitsuya grinned, 'Great. It’s a deal.'
ONE WEEK LATER
The clubroom buzzed with its usual after-school chatter, but today had a different kind of energy. The sewing tables were pushed together for a group project, and Mitsuya sat beside you, now less hunched and a little more comfortable around him. You two had been working on a joint piece for the past week: a soft, flowing dress with delicate embroidery along the hem, a blend of your dreamy style and his crisp lines.
'You really brought this to life,' Mitsuya said, adjusting a pin, 'I just followed your lead.'
You shake your head, smiling shyly, 'I-I couldn’t have done it without you…'
But when the two of you returned from a short break, something felt off.
The fabric you'd been working on lay in a crumpled mess, threads yanked loose, embroidery torn halfway through. Your sketch, once neatly tucked under your notebook, was missing. A few girls across the room whispered behind cupped hands, one of them glancing over with a smirk.
You freeze. Your hands trembled as you picked up the fabric, staring in silence.
Mitsuya’s brow furrowed, 'Hey…What the hell?' He crouched beside you, gently taking the ruined piece from your hands, 'This didn’t happen on its own.'
You shake your head quickly, blinking fast, 'I-It’s okay, I-I probably just—'
'No,' he said firmly, not unkindly, 'You didn’t. Someone messed with it.'
Your lip trembles, and you turn your face slightly away.
He stood, casting a cool glance around the room. The girls who had been whispering quieted immediately under his gaze.
Mitsuya turned back to you and crouched down again, speaking low so only you could hear, 'This wasn’t your fault. And I won’t let it slide.'
You sniffle, eyes shining, 'B-But we worked so hard…'
'I know,' he said gently, 'And we’ll fix it. Together.'
He helped you gather the scraps, carefully and calmly, treating each torn piece as if it were still something beautiful. When you look at him, really look at him, something new appears in your eyes. A flicker of trust.
'Next time,' he said, giving you a soft smile, 'we’ll lock the pattern drawer. And maybe start sewing at my place. My sisters are better company anyway.'
That got a tiny laugh out of you. And just like that, you nodded. Anywhere was better than this club room.
A FEW DAYS LATER
The dress took a few afternoons to mend. You work side by side at Mitsuya’s house, surrounded by the chatter of his younger sisters and the soft scent of fabric softener lingering in the air. His sisters had immediately taken to you, offering you snacks, asking about your favourite colours, even braiding little pieces of your hair as you stitched.
By the end of the fourth evening, the dress was whole again. Maybe even better than before.
'It’s ready,' Mitsuya said, brushing his hands off. 'You should try it on.'
You hesitate, glancing down at the flowing pale fabric, 'I-I don’t know if it’ll look good on me…'
'It’ll look perfect,' he said without missing a beat.
Ten minutes later, you step out of the bathroom, smoothing the hem nervously. The soft fabric clung just right, the embroidered accents catching the light as you move. You keep your eyes low, bracing yourself for some kind of critique.
But Mitsuya was silent. You glance up and blink.
He was staring at you, lips parted slightly, a faint pink creeping up the tips of his ears and into his cheeks. He looked…stunned.
'Is something wrong?' you ask softly.
Mitsuya blinked like he’d just snapped out of a daze, 'No! No, not at all. It’s just…You look stunning.'
Your breath catches, 'O-Oh…'
You look down quickly, your own face flushing deep red as your fingers twist in the hem of the dress, 'T-Thank you…I—I mean, it was your design too, so…'
He chuckled softly, scratching the back of his neck, 'Still. You bring it to life in a way no mannequin ever could.'
Your heart does a little flip. You look at him shyly, a hopeful glint in your eyes, 'Do you…wanna collaborate more? I-I mean—only if you want to.'
Mitsuya smiled, the kind of warm, sincere smile that melted all the nerves in the room. 'Yeah,' he said gently, 'I’d really like that.'
A hollow formed in her stomach at the sight of it, there, so celestial, as if it had come straight out of a fairy tale, made of smooth silk like a caress and adorned with delicate lace. It was a dress, but not just any dress—it was the dress of her dreams.
With trembling hands and a lump in her throat, she approached to lightly stroke it, fearing to soil or ruin it. The bodice of the dress was delicately embroidered with silver threads forming intricate floral patterns, each flower adorned with tiny pearls that shimmered with every movement. The skirt, wide and billowing, cascaded in layers of tulle that moved like gentle waves with each step, creating an ethereal silhouette.
The sensation of silk against her skin sent an electric current through her body. Every adjustment, every fastening, was like a whisper enveloping her in a sensation of ecstasy. It was as if the dress had been made especially for her. Every pearl, every silver thread, seemed to be there, placed by and for her, sending her a message between the lines. Or perhaps she was losing her mind.
It was lilac, like the hair of the dress's creator, her best friend.
Spinning around in front of the fitting room mirror like a little girl in her first princess dress, Takashi watched the woman of his life, his muse, his endless source of inspiration. He didn't have the privilege of calling her "mine," perhaps out of cowardice, fear of rejection, or worse yet, the terror of losing her forever. He settled for calling her "best friend," though that nickname felt like a necklace of thorns tormenting him day after day
