From the Inquest Ethics Committee's secret hideout deep in Mount Maelstrom, Asuran Resource Director Miyya cuts a terrifying figure in the Inquest. Entire subkrewes live or die, literally, on her direction, and she loathes the waste of resources... which included in her own children, many of whom she killed for being a waste of resources themselves. Just getting a lab inspection from one of her inspectors is bad enough, getting a message from her is a death sentence, and if you get called to her office directly? No one knows what might happen exactly, but it's likely a fate worse than death.

Miyya hated Prikk, hated Sebb, hated pretty much everyone who worked at Helix Biomagitech because she considered the whole thing a phenomenal waste of resources. So when she learned Sebb got eaten by raptors...

So the head of my whole Inquest Ethics Committee, Miyya, sounds like Yzma (Eartha Kitt) in my head and has pretty much since her inception. So I needed to draw her making an Yzma face.

I think I nailed it.

Miyya is a fascinating case study as far as Inquest members go. When I created her a couple of years ago, I thought it'd be fun to make someone who was basically Yzma and then give her an actual position of power.

That's how the Inquest Ethics Committee came into being. And from an earlier post of mine:

Anyway! AR Director Miyya, head of the Inquest Ethics Committee, and her on-again-off-again lover Manager Vroqq, the overseer of the Liquidators. This popped into my head this morning and would not leave.

Who is the biggest asshole and why?

There she is!

AR Director Miyya, head of the mysterious Inquest Ethics Committee. The woman is a tyrant; she runs her department with ruthless efficiency and does not tolerate waste or excess. She's well known for the kind of ruthlessly polite smiles and corporate talk that terrifies any low level lackey, and receiving word that you'll have a visit from an Ethics Committee investigator is scary enough.

Learning then that Miyya herself will be visiting, or you've been called for a meeting in her office in Mount Maelstrom?

That's the worst punishment of all.

Worth noting she's had eight children with the head of the Inquest Liquidators, Vroqq, and most of them (save a couple) are dead. Useless wastes of resources, after all, are not tolerated.

The talented elementalist AR Director Miyya, the head of the Inquest Ethics Committee, is an enigmatic figure in and of herself. Sending out her personal staff on surprise spot inspections of Inquest labs across Tyria, she usually lets them deliver the results of their investigations on the spot. But particularly egregious cases of neglect towards the Ethics Committee's standards may result in a holo-call from the woman herself.

Or, worse yet, a personal visit.

No one knows exactly what gets you chosen for a position on the Ethics Committee, but one should be mindful if they receive a proper summons from her.

As the head of the Ethics Committee, Miyya only answers to two groups: a small, secretive council of extremely high ranking Inquest members... and those terrifying few that the council answers to. She's highly respected... but also justly feared.
