Got a Team Fox hoodie for my birthday! It's so soft!!! 🦊🧡
A week ago on Saturday, my daughter Brigitte (who also climbed Mount Whitney with me three years ago) and I, rode our bikes on a 60 plus mile bike ride called the HopFest. Four hours and 15 minutes total ride time including 3 brief rest stops along the way. A respectable time for a 64 year old who is now entering his 5th year into his fight against Parkinson’s Disease!
Next August, I am planning to participate in the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s (MJFF) Tour de Fox ride in the Napa Valley to help raise funds for a cure! I will be training for the 70 mile (aka, the long) ride!
I am still not medicated for my PD with Dopamine or Dopamine Agonist which is a huge accomplishment at this stage of the battle against the disease! My success is largely due to my daily cardio regimen, strict Keto diet and daily meditation (and a big dose of luck).
Right now, even as I begin to look forward to my 65th birthday (next March), I can make the claim that I am in the best shape of my life both mentally and physically!
