what was the bttf tumblr fandom like before future day?

well, back in my day,,,, the fandom was a quiet.. and peaceful place… there was barely anyone posting anymore and  everyone watched mjfs filmography through a dropbox link @abouttiime posted until too many people started using it and dropbox was like DELETE

no but i can really only tell u what it was like when i made my tumblr in 2014/2015 because i wasn’t here for 2013 when the fandom was in its prime lol i joined like just after the mjf show got cancelled and took the fandom down with it. only like… 2 or 3 blogs were still active?? and that was actually the reason i started giffing, like nobody was posting anymore!! then bttf day happened and all these people started appearing straight outta NOWHERE and all the sudden all these blogs sprouted up, arguing with each other about ships and which jennifer was better and i was just like 

no but seriously i actually made friends with a lot of people that joined after bttf day so im not complaining!! i just miss the fandom when it was chill af and nobody got into petty arguments but i mean whats a fandom without them amirite ladies

I’m at the Oscars with Michael J. Fox and a DeLorean while wearing future shoes. All I have to do is sing The Schuyler Sisters song from Hamilton in front of the whole world and I’ll have completed my entire bucket list.

The DeLorean you all saw Michael J. Fox and Seth Rogen get out of at the Oscars is the Time Machine Restoration’s Flagship car built by my ridiculously cool and beyond talented friend Joe Walser. Not only did Joe build that car, but he was also head of the team who restored the original DeLorean time machine used in Back to the Future. (There is an AWESOME documentary called OUTATIME: Saving the DeLorean Time Machine which tells the story of the restoration.) The Flagship car is the most accurate replica in the world, and is owned by Terry Matalas, creator of SyFy’s 12 Monkeys. Did you see those Eagle GT tires? I am so thrilled to see his hard work recognized in the *COOLEST* way possible. Way to represent Joe, you will always amaze me. (Nothing quite like getting selfies from backstage at the Oscars!)
