I’m in a photography class and we had an “unselfie” assignment and I got this shot and I’m honestly in love with it.

Taking selfies isn’t something I do often because I’m self conscious and don’t want to put myself out there like that, but I’m super proud of this photo and the work that went into it and I wanna share that proudness with the world. Images have been taken with a smartphone over three years, traveling on the same railway line. On this age of constructed, photoshopped and absolute EGO: ‘Unselfie’ makes us to travel into who, by randomness, has been made to sit in front of us, right in front our view; and reveals with his personal details and gestures, an intense and intimate world we haven’t known yet. Smartphone, a device that usually keeps us isolated from who’s around us, becomes a tool to “see” them closely. “Going through this project was like taking a journey into the journey” with the help of daily random encounters enjoyed as a self enrichment.
