Fck MK 11 Story mode

I had such high hopes for MK11's story mode but I have been bamboozled.

So much wasted potential.

So many missed opportunities.

Dark Raiden was so damn wasted, there should have been more Dark Raiden vs past versions of different characters interactions.

Raiden horrified at what he has become, Dark Raiden taunting his past self. We needed more of that.

Kollector is a waste of space.

Kronika had so much potential. Come on she is the keeper of time she can do better.

She can be fixed with a few simple adjustments. Like how instead of a new era she wants to restore the original timeline that our good old thunder god screwed with in MK9 and she spent all this time building her power to do so or debating whether she should restore the old timeline or not but then Raiden goes Dark Raiden and decapitates Shinnok like we see in the beginning of the story mode so she decides that it's Rewind Time™️.

Cetrion needs to be replaced with Shinnok.

If Kronika is Shinnok's mother how come she didn't restore him? I think if she intended to restore time or new era or whatever at least reattach his head and strip him of his power if she don't want him to go evil again.

I don't mind Hanzo's death,at first I was pissed that Noob Saibot didn't get the kill that he deserved (will somebody give Noob Saibot something to do already?) I read an excellent post on reddit about how his arc is similar to the scorpion and the frog story and after reading it I find that it strangely fits.

Kudos to NRS for getting something right.

Shao Khan should have been a bigger threat, his return should be a much bigger deal than it was. His death by Kitana is such BS, he is SHAO KHAN!! Kitana shouldn't have been able to beat him by herself. It should have been a Liu Kang/Kung Lao/Kitana vs Shao Khan with Kitana delivering the final blow.

Oh let's not forget about retconning several characters

Erron Black went from this centuries old mysterious cowboy to a black dragon jobber who isn't an badass ageless cowboy. I genuinely prefer his MKX version.

Kabal is in this game and Stryker is nowhere to be mentioned. They were partners in MK9 and clearly cared for one another. Yes you could argue that this Kabal before he met Stryker but other characters like Liu Kang and Kano could at least mention him since I'm pretty sure Raiden co. come from before the Shao Khan vs Liu Kang fight in the Coliseum chapter in MK9. And let's not forget NRS changed his Tower descriptions to push Sareena/Kabal, two characters who as far as I can remember had no interactions with each other canonically (feel free to correct me on that).

And on that note wasnt Sareena and Bi-Han a thing if memory serves me?

Good god NRS, get your act together.

Edit: it has come to my attention that Sareena/Bi-Han were not an item and were in fact teased in MK Mythologies and in MK Armageddon she was teased with Kuai Liang.

Ok this might be a weird subject, but as a girl myself I don't get why people do not like Skarlet's chest size in MK11. I find it cute (lol weird I know) and realistic unlike in MK9. In fanarts she is always drawn with a really big chest, sure the artists are free to do draw her the way they want, but I see no one drawing her body the way it is, people make fun of her body too. People use MK9 as an argument against MK11 girls' design, but Ed Boon confirmed he didn't want that in MK9...

I have no complaints about artists who paint Skarlet with big breasts. After all, there are artists who like to draw characters withbig butts. *chuckles*  But I don’t mind that. And you just don’t have to take these arts seriously)

As for Skarlet’s or Sonya’s breast size, it’s hard for me to judge anything here. Probably because my attention is drawn to Kabal’s sexy arms, Noob’s voice or Erron’s smile. I’m just glad the female assassins no longer look like some strippers in this game. And I think Skarlet is one of the most charming girls in MK 11.

Some people (mostly men) have told me that MK has always been able to emphasize the sexuality of female characters by vulgar outfits. And they also said that this game was made mainly for male players before, and that’s specifically for them the developers were making big breasts for female characters. And because people get used to seeing these characters with big tits, they react negatively to the characters that look realistic now.

And I hated that one guy said to me: “Come on. Why do I need realistic girls in the game, if in real life I see them every fucking day?”. It’s just ridiculous.

My ships: Jin x Takeda Jin x Erron Erron x Kotal Liu Kant x Kung Lao Hanson x Kuai Ermac x Erron Erron x Kabal Johnny x Erron Jade x Kotal Jade x Kitana What are your opinions on them?

jin x takeda: valid. i like jacqui x takeda as a good rare example of a well-handled straight romance, but jin x takeda would make sense and work well too, as well as pairing jin with an age-appropriate bf (important)

jin x erron: nah. not only do they have incompatible personalities, but erron is drastically older. i’ll pass 

erron x kotal: god i love erron x kotal and i hate that mk11 killed it (kind of, but you have to be really brave to ignore canon). i think it had a solid foundation in the mkx story and it’s something i always enjoyed seeing fan content for

liu x lao: no; they view and address each other as brothers, heavily indicated in their mkx dialogues and continued into mk11, so that’s way, way too close for comfort. besides, they both have raiden as a dad figure. so no 

hanzo x kuai: probably the most popular ship in this fandom, and one that i personally really enjoy (see also: my icon). it was the third ship that i really fell for when i was getting into fandom, and i will always have a soft spot for it, although i don’t make much content for it since so many others do 

ermac x erron: i have a good friend who ships it, and while i have no strong feelings on it one way or another, i’m inclined to lean in a positive direction about it. like nearly any mk ship, with some convincing writing and character development, it would work

erron x kabal: i guess this is a mk11-based thing, but i just don’t see it. however, i’m very much not into what mk11 did with any of the characters whatsoever. kabal x stryker is my ship of choice. in mk11′s context, though, i guess i can understand this one 

johnny x erron: first i’ve heard of this one, but i actually really like the idea, now that you mention it. i feel like their personalities would contrast in a very amusing way, especially since johnny would be throwing pop culture references at him all the time 

jade x kotal: i will never like this. it was forced, out-of-the-blue, and clumsily retconned. ironically, if they made it something that develops organically through the story (or if we truly get to see the reasons for it, or like, anything) i would warm up to it. as it is, i hate that they did it

jade x kitana: the writers tried to aggressively kill this ship throughout mk11 in every way (intro dialogues included), but i do not care, i will always like jade/kitana. it’s cute and feels like a natural extension of their friendship
