Miraculous Ladybug Season 2: (In 10 words or Less) Top 3 best and Worst episodes
Continuation of this Post
Based on my Reviews I will be giving a bit more depth on Why I think this episode is the best or the worst.
_______________________________________________________________________
I have covered this episode in my top 10 worst episodes and really there is not much to add to this except it really has no reason to exist. It is pure filler and is kind of a bland episode that could just have been cut out and NOTHING would have changed about the season.
This is my honorable number 11 in my list of top 10 best episodes of ML.
This has a lot of character development for Adrien and Gabriel. Adrien wanting to see the movie of his mother, he ends up running into Marinette and the two are chased around Paris. His bodyguard showing how much he cares for the blond’s safety. Not to mention that delicious Ladrien that we had been starved of in the season being put in. It really allows for developments of dynamics and is kind of crucial in expanding on Characters.
I really don't like this episode.
I have discussed how much I disliked this episode a lot and my opinion on it still hasn't changed.
This was the episode that made me stop watching the show for a bit. I didn't get back to watching season two until just before heroes day was coming out.
It is boring, it has very little personality given to the character that was supposed to be introduced, and the akuma that was a F***ING Pirate, was boring and the action and comedy just felt so... Landlocked.
This episode never set sail and that is a tragedy.
I have talked about how much of a jam this episode is. This was a season finale part 2 that really held up with the set up from part one.
It had great action sequences, a touching heart to heart with Ladybug and Chat Noir, an epic fight with Hawkmoth
AND the appearance of Mayura as a new villain
Hawkmoth was on the ropes and Mayura pulled his a** out and it was amazing.
The ending scene with that cute Adrinette showed us a hope of Marinette getting more courageous and how they developed as Characters. This was the Avengers movie of the show and I loved it.
I don't like this episode.
I have talked about this episode in length before, but I do have a few new bits to add.
I actually think this would have been better in season 3.
As surprising as it is to say, I think with all of the development for Kagami and For Luka, this episode would have had SO much more of an impact without feeling so forced. I still would hate it, but It would at least make some more sense.
But, that still doesn't excuse how poorly written most of the characters are in this. I did say Marinette was not written well in this in the past, I take it back. She was not written poorly, the writers were just indecisive on which way to write her in this. So she is like flip flop on so many things and really the gif above sort of sets it.
Adrien/Chat noir is still an asshole in this and it is one of his worst outings. No defense for it.
Kagami’s character in season two takes a lame turn here which is where a LOT of people really started to hate on her. (even though she doesn't deserve it) I will say it was her weakest performance.
The akuma was... so so. The battle was a bit more interesting but the drama in the episode had me CRINGING so hard I needed to go to the dentist to get a mouth guard to stop grinding my teeth.
I think Frozer is objectively the worst episode of season 2 and it is my least favorite episode of Season 2.
Darkowl is one of my favorite akuma of season two. He goes from a total joke trying to play super hero into one of the biggest threats that Ladybug and Chat noir had ever faced.
It was like they were fighting a 1960′s batman mixed with a touch of modern Batman.
The episode had Marinette/Ladybug and Chat noir/Adrien doing their best to cheer up someone. They had good intentions.
The akumatization reason is also a bit heart breaking and pretty justifiable.
The ending is also sweet and the fact that they retransformed in front of each other yet DIDNT LOOK.
I think the episode is just a good amount of fun and really sets the stage that akuma are still threats.
